Not too sure whats in the Scanned variable. You might be able to condense that by looping over $i and incrementing it? Using Get-Aduser as an example(obviously you wouldnt need to do this) : $output = $get-aduser |%{ [pscustomobject][ordered] @{ DisplayName = $_.DisplayName email = $_.UserPrincipalName Name = $_.Name Role = $_.Title Enabled = $_.enabled }} You would pass a list of the servers into a for loop into the function that your getting scanned from. You would then send the output to "| export-csv myfile.csv -nti"

I have found that sticky labels work fine. There are also the tape version that you get with brother printers. They will all come off eventually - they will be picked at.

I have used a raspberry pi specifically for this. Live video that streamed over the network and picked up using vlc player. It used gstream. I made the script load on boot. So all someone had to do was power on the Pi. Ill see if I can find the blog - it was about 4 years ago mind.

[mdt] Windows PE - Missing Driver but injected in to MDT Image
DaveTheTech replied to robyholmes's topic in O/S Deployment
I presume that the make and model that you are using is added to the DriverSet001 variable? Double to check that the Make and Model vars are correct. I take mine from 'wmic csproduct list brief'. Its been over a year since I have used MDT. But after the drive import, I refresh the deployment and update the boot file. Then import that to WDS, then restart the service. -
DN cannot be used in the filter switch. You could add this to the end of the call to get-aduser: | ?{$_.DistinguishedName -notlike "*OU NAME*"}

Powershell import users to various teams (CSV?) (Requesting help)
DaveTheTech replied to DPenfold's topic in Scripts
With the one CSV, you would need to have a new row for each member and team: Usermail | GroupID -------------------------- [email protected] | abc-123 [email protected] | def-456 [email protected] | abc-123 [email protected] | def-456 [email protected] | ghi-789 You would also need to change the usemail to $_.usermail -
Powershell import users to various teams (CSV?) (Requesting help)
DaveTheTech replied to DPenfold's topic in Scripts
So you have two CSVs. One with users. The second with the Team ID? Do you want all of the users to be added to all of the teams listed in the CSV? -
I was only able to try that out out with the pulsar.exe shortcut. I'll see if I can find out what the button press to run the InTouch module actually does - seems promising though.

Hi Guys, need some help with this one as it has be well and truly stumped. When using a screen that has its scaling set to anything other than 100% we are having a problem with suing the InTouch menus. Windows defaults the scaling to 200% on a lot of teachers' devices. This is causing issues when opening the InTouch module. SIMS goes unresponsive for a short time and sets the screen to around 1/4 of the size. It also drop the Scaling to 100% for the module. When restoring the screen to full size, the menus dont line up and any drop-down is next to impossible to use. When using two screen, with one set to 100% the second to 200%, dragging the sims screen over to breaks InTouch again. This is happening when using both the Remote App and when running directly on the server. I had thought it was to do with Windows 8 DPI scaling. But I am coming to the conclusing that the The apparent "fix" is to just set it to 100%. But this isn't the best as it makes everything else difficult to use. Can anyone suggest anything to try out? Thanks

Teams Pinned Icon on Start Menu Not Working - XML Issue?
DaveTheTech replied to dsmith8's topic in Windows 10
I think that it could be different if you have deployed the machine installer. Could you try pointing it to "%AppData%\Microsoft\Teams\current\Teams.exe"?- 2 replies

Homework solutions for schools
DaveTheTech replied to lavanyashetty848's topic in Virtual Learning Platforms
Satchel One / Show My Homework Although with almost everyone now using Teams, why not swap over to completely using Teams Assignments? At one point the school were using the above as well as a link book / diary on top! -
So my first car failed it MOT last month. Nothing too drastic, it would have been possible to look at my self - rear brakes, exhaust leak, anti-roll bar dust seal split. But due to the time of year and half heartedly looking at replacing it, decided it was time to get rid and look for new one. Rolling around the floor whilst its -27364 degrees isn't something I was looking forward to. A week of flicking through AutoTrader, with just a distance and price set saw the DS3s. Yep ticks all the boxes, four wheels, goes vrrrm vrm and doesnt look like a hair dressers car. Sent an advert across to my Parents in doing so found one that had just gone up. Quick texts back and forth, a test drive and its now sitting on the driveway :D There's a bit of a difference with a car thats 14 years newer and has done about 40k less miles! Resetting all office 365 users photos to default.
DaveTheTech replied to kennysarmy's topic in Cloud Services
The first error, "..Identity because it is null" - is users a header within your csv? Anything after $_. should be a header within the csv. The second, is where remove-userphoto doesnt accept a pipeline - it needs to be called using a for-each loop. Hopefully double checking that the header name matches up with the one used in the PowerShell should work. -
Funnily enough I watched that on Friday as well. It was slow to do anything, then nothing really happened. Wasn't a bad film - it just didnt grab my attention in anyway. But as I was about 1/2 through I kept on watching. An OK film, but won't be watching it again.

If you want to make sure the update happens, I have set deadlines to be in the past. This was to uninstall an update that caused problems - it might work with feature updates.

Resetting all office 365 users photos to default.
DaveTheTech replied to kennysarmy's topic in Cloud Services
Not too sure what the 8122 could be picking up. Your CSV needs to contain something that can be used as an objectID either their samaccountname or userprincipalname. import-csv .\mycsv.csv | % {remove-userphoto $_.UPN} Where UPN is a column header. % is short hand for For-Each. I usually grab things straight from AD. Remove-UserPhoto can take a pipeline argument (if they dont, then you can get around it by using a for-each block): get-aduser -searchbase "ou=students, ou=users, dc=school, dc=com" -filter * | remove-userphoto -
ActivInspire Main resource pack deployment
DaveTheTech replied to ITGuyNW's topic in Promethean Direct Support
Part of the initial setup is to extract those files, if you want to.You can then put those on a share and point AI to it - there's a field for it in the admin.ini Just found their admin guide: 1808 | Promethean Support (prometheanworld.com) If you have already deployed AI, you should be able to edit the file on each workstation. -

Get-AzureAdUser wont get all of your users - its limited to 100. Use -All 1. I would also do as much filtering as you can within that cmdlet, rather than passing everything through to a Where-Object. Only bringing this up as I had to find expired groups. It took half the amount of time if I used -displayStartsWith vs piping that to a Where-Object. I found that their pictures disappeared from the Admin Center straight away. I have heard teams taking weeks as it can cache. Removing any sessions might be the way forward. -
