  1. Does it need to be the 2 options stated? I would suggest Unifi, awesome kit across the UBNT range and the pricing is great to.
  2. They seem to undercut other copier devices but replace them with smaller units not fit for purpose but they claim they are. Seen a few schools in a bit of a mess now. Make sure you go for the bigger models if you go down Xerox route.
  3. I agree, we support a number of schools who had different "Enterprise" anti-virus/anti-ransomware software and they still had issues. If you have a good backup strategy and a robust setup you should be fine, from what we have seen the Windows Defender sites have had no issues so far. Everyones needs are different though.
  4. SCCM and WIndows defender if you have an Education OVS Subscription?
  5. AC Pro's check Broadband Buyer. Get one install it and test it, very easy to setup and configure yourself. Only thing you may want to look at is cabling and switch upgrades.
  6. I soooo wanted to be that guy...Unifi everyday over those expensive products.
  7. Schools were buying screens really cheap with 5 year warranties, so not sure what happens now?
  8. Seems like Genee World has ceased trading. I know lots of schools with their screens and entry sign kit.
  9. Avoid Progresso, rubbish software, poor support. There are a fair few I would avoid to be honest. If you are primary school look at Arbor, high school BromCom.
  10. +1 for Freshdesk and you can have unlimited agents on the free account. Does also depend on what you want from it.
  11. Don't think there is any harm trying it on another VM.
  12. Damn...I need to do this asap. Just found out we have it running on a 2008 server VM. Existing support have not done anything about it. £1300 is abit steep really!
  13. Depends on the number of devices and users. I would recommend onsite appliance upto 150 devices costs approx £1k a year on 3 year contract.
  14. Sophos But depends on size of your network...device or pupil numbers.
  15. yes but overkill for a primary, depends what you want to do?
  16. Sophos is good. Easy to setup and configure can get expensive for bigger schools.
  17. That's just it there is nothing in the terms that defines this cost for changing a password.
  18. If they are in a contract for support it's free. However if support and broadband has changed they charge.
  19. Link2ICT Staffordshire? If so yes a standard charge...it's the schools own Wifi so doesn't makes sense.
  20. Defo HyperV it with Server 2016, have a look at Altaro as alternative to Veeam does the same but costs a lot less £350 for unlimited VM's per host.
