Not tried or used the Vestels. Iiyamas are just awful to be honest. If you are just going by the cheapest screen, look a Newline, depends what features you want to use with the screens.

Feedback from Engineers and teachers has been very good.

I think it maybe to do with roaming profiles, have you added the admin.ini file to the activ inspire install folder. Line 12 needs to be edited to point to the users folder in app data...

We no longer have any RM CC4 networks anywhere!
-
No worries, depends if you want full access to your firewall and filtering appliance, with a hosted solution you may be prone to having issues you can't fix yourself.
-
Depends on the size of the school and the amount of devices, if its a onsite solution or hosted...standard primary school for onsite firewall and filtering about £600 a year.

Asus are good builds for primary, they have good rugged casing.

activinspire licence question if we change boards
yac2016 replied to NMarks's topic in Promethean Direct Support
Its usually £500-600 per screen if using another model board. Promethean also offer a cloud based system called ClassFlow, works well now, worth a look. -
activinspire licence question if we change boards

Have you had any quotes for Prometheans they are very competitive now to most models. -
This is pretty much spot on with our experience, stick with GSuite.
-
We have some small schools in Staffordshire that would love these, if you have no local takers I can arrange to pick these up at some point.
-
Pretty much standard on every panel now.
-
Yep and the support and service of that warranty is not great.
-
They are all similar, do the school use certain software, like Activ Inspire or SMART? If so I would go with that version of Panel as pricing from most registered bids will be competitive, depends on the model.
-
V15's are decent for entry level, better battery life and better quality.
-
2 Cell battery, we have had schools purchase these from resellers just looking at a quick sale. First complaint was the battery life, they were warned.
-
Horrific battery life. Cheap chasis.
-
Poor quality and poor battery life. When they were cheaper they were a decent option.

Promethean are quite competitive with the Nickel V7 range compared to all the other vendors so I doubt you would be losing much money, depends how many you buy. -

They offer the online version for free on any screen, ClassFlow. Plus Promethean screens are competitive with others now. -

yac2016 replied to martinpage23's topic in Network and Classroom Management
Try building one using pxe, adding drivers to the build area is quite simple, it should be setup but some of the services maybe off.
