Majority of Unifi kit is now enterprise stuff if you have been to there events last year. Worth testing it again and you may well be very surprised. Filtering is not a issue either as you do it from router level. BYOD is a whole different converstaion.

Go wires only, get a unifi firewall and a cloud filter.... Starlink for backup broadband. Save yourself some money and have a better faster setup.

You should have a Unifi quote option also. This will save a substantial amount on the likes of Meraki etc.

Or Map Sharepoint libraries as network folders via intune...will save costs and takes about 30 mins.

If price point is important HikVision have some great pricing atm, both for the basic screen with Anroid and the premium screen. 65" with a wall bracket is like £750 ex VAT

Yes SoGEA is practically the same without the ISDN line so thats not a problem. I am used to calling it FTTC.

FTTC is generally cheap and the same from everyone not much of a SLA from Openreach, you usually need a modem and away you go. Whole sale FTTC is like £25 a month, the additional cost on a school level broadband line is for the firewall and filtering and support.

Microsoft make it complicated as usual. We are doing SentinelOne XDR £1.25 per device per month.

Agree with this under £500 and you can get a Dell Lattitude, 15, 16gb, 512ssd 5 year warranty...covers it all sopeace of mind over refurbs.

They are a none profit organisation they are located centrally so not sure they can get to you. Hopefully all education establishments support them and the similar organisations like 2ndChance.

They are not the only edu broadband suppliers who dont allow monthly rolling at end of terms when wholesale reverts to this…when they too have the issue with contracts and installs overrunning on time.

Update the DFE are now approving Unifi without any questions since they set minimum budget per school.

You would need to backup both Microsoft and Google Workspace, especially any critical mailboxes or any data that you deem critical. The built in backup is not sufficient for a disaster recovery situation and both Google and Microsoft state in there terms and conditions. MS are about to release a backup solution, looks very expensive though. There are ways to backup these services. Look at Datto, Barracuda, per user per month and they will usually backup all shared drives and student data: Think Google already had a issue where personal user data had gone missing andbthey advisee users they should have a copy of their own data. Also the DFE cyber Security guidelines stated a 3-2-1 backup of all your data whether this is cloud or not. Can you safely say you Google data is fully protected?

Altaro?Hornet VM Cloud backup to local and Wasabi. Very cost effective. 2 VM's for about £27 a month.

Keystone MIS should be used for Sims support and they do the migrations. Great service as well!
