  1. Thanks for that, it was going to be my next question. I'm going to take a look over the weekend and go from there.
  2. I'm no web designer but have a basic site for a friend on my hosting, I have a theme we are happy with but need to change some of the colours of. I presume you do this in a CSS file (the only web I have ever done was with WYSIWYG editors or some basic HTML). I pretty much know what is going on the site, very basic who we are, what we do, testimonials and contact form. I can add the pages ok but the rest of it it way beyond me. Any help would be appreciated, a point in the right direction would be good.
  3. Day of AT power supplies, the safe to turn off your computer in Windows 98se.
  4. Fixed, just gave me account global administrator permissions and setup and then removed again.
  5. No 2FA authentication on mine. Can you setup me through what you did incase I am missing something please?
  6. I use BNC for an aerial in roof to radio on desk/pc.
  7. I just used 2 of the 312 and stuck one in the back window.
  8. Does it need to print? Can you not disable printing for said user or you could look in the log and see which PC name they are coming from and trace them that way?
  9. Think I've said before but another vote for Nextbase 312GW, got one front and back.
  10. Create a follow me printer i.e. follow-me-print on a new local port called nul, this will then appear in PaperCut and this is the one deployed to everyone so needs to be the highest spec settings. Once in PaperCut select its a virtual queue and tick the queues you want it to release on. Then when your devices are setup select this as to where to pull its jobs from. In the printers tab tick the box to hide document names so when you open up the queue you don't see the job titles of everyone documents they are printing.
  11. I use Office 365 for my phone email, tried to add my Calendar to my Alexa Echo Dot but get an error when signing up and then signing in as my O365 admin. Has anyone successfully done this and got an tips as I am struggling.
  12. You are right at looking at the job ticketing options, there are other software out there and some will interface with PaperCut too i.e. DocQTicket been one. Not sure if you are going to get all that in one product without some work to create some of the extra bits you need. My suggestions was going to be the new ticketing feature within PaperCut as you already have half of setup.
  13. You have the Gigabyte Brix range too, neither are cheap but then any new PC I don't find cheap at the moment. PC's drawn very little compared to what they used to do so.
  14. It's the NK2 file if your referring to the list of addresses it saves from previous emails.
  15. Please move if not the right area. Just been reading this article. If I'm right in reading, line rental could reduce and you maybe able to get an internet only line without the voice. Anyone else know anymore on this?
  16. I get the odd seasonal thing in the post for the previous occupants who are both dead, I just put them through the shredder now. Nothing of any note as the house had been empty for some time before I moved in, I don't even get much myself as most of it is electronic now. My stance is if the previous occupier hasn't updated their address them it's their problem and just shred anything that comes.
  17. SIM based one or one that plugs into a PSTN. Be careful on the transaction charges, some don't charge you for contactless so you can save money
  18. I have since found out you can scan to UNC i.e. \\ip address\share and it works ok, it seems a bit slower but stupid removing something useful out of it. Working now and jobs done just puzzled me for a while until I found out what had happened.
  19. It would appear in High Sierra the FTP function has been removed which many use to scan from MFD's. Other than a third party utility for FTP is there any other way I can scan to a Mac via network/ftp as it is? I'm not a big Mac user so any thoughts would be helpful.
  20. I'm a big fan of Spoons, will quite happily go there you know what your getting, good cheap on the tap drink where ever you go. The App was the best thing they brought out, makes it so much easier and no more carrying drinks up stairs when you've had a few. Did see the tweet this morning, don't there is much lost there with them going off social media.
  21. I usually create a domain user, give it admin rights to the print server and file servers, then set the PaperCut application service to run as this account and its this account that writes to the location. I have also found out this week when scanning to a network folder, if the person logged into the copier and scans, as long as they have access to said folder it will also write to it too but not tried it myself.
  22. Was a tip from a design tech teacher when working with plastic!
  23. There are numerous threads on here with the same topic if you have a search. Personally I would add a CCTV VLAN and run it that way, saves running separate switching, wires etc.
  24. I would say yes, its still in the public domain.
  25. I thought you could set default printers based upon network location/domain, can you not do this?
