I like the idea of automated readings and been able to see what energy I am using when. To be honest I wasn't aware of any issues, and I suppose for what little I use I've never thought any more of it. Not the end of the world.

Apparently there is a v2 smart meter due out soon which you keep when changing suppliers rather than the ones that are fixed to the current suppliers.

Need some help. Controller with 2 AP's, 1 SSID giving same range out as desktops, quite a plain network. New air print capable printer deployed and on network with AirPrint enabled but something on the wireless blocking it. Not familiar with the Netgear kit, normally mDNS needs enabling on the SSID but cannot find anything in the manual. Any other thoughts on this one? Thanks

I know there is no loyalty, just stayed with them as it was easy and had no issues plus been on a fixed one it wasn't an issue. Bulb does seem to be getting highly recommended, only downside is no smart meters which I do like having. Can save quite a bit with them by the looks of it.

Ovo has popped up else where but so far Bulb is the only one that can make any significant savings. My local authority have energy auctions from time to time and just missed out on one so not sure on their offerings. Will take a look around, wanting one supplier for both, ideally with smart meters to make life easier.

Believe its done in the configuration utility, drop a reminder in here this time next week and I will have a better understanding and can give you some guidance then.

Paxton Net2 has this facility as I am off to reconfigure a site of mine next week following some network changes.

I'm on a fixed tariff with British Gas which is due to expire at the end of September. I have been with them since I bought this house and maybe its time to change? I spent about £1000 a year for gas and electric for myself in a 1950's semi detached ex local authority house. I've had a look on some of these comparison sites and they say they can save me £200 a year but I've not heard of half the companies that are offering services. I can stay with British Gas and fix my tariff till June 2021, if I did it would cost me more and there is a £40 exit fee if I moved in that time. If I stay with British Gas other than one fixed tariff until 2019 its going to cost me anywhere between £10 and £40 more a year. Just after some recommendations from you all on here, any good/bad experiences, companies to avoid, companies recommended etc. Thanks

All depends what is set out in the contract and what is agreed and what is classed as extra. Alot of places will follow this to the dot to the point if its not listed they won't even talk to you.

Put it another way, you run your own company supplying a service/product would you do it for free? I know some places do charge quite a bit for something so small but its business. Call out charge for Miele to look at your kitchen appliance is nearly £200 I believe before they have even looked at it.

Paxton Net2 and Hikvision systems integrate quite nicely from what I have ready and would be my choice. Other option is you can get a module for Net2, user rings it and it opens gate, mobile number calling from is stored in Net2.

What printer/MFD's do you have?

You are to treat it as give way but drivers generally are expected to watch what is coming and move over where possible. It's a frequent thing around here when you have lorry after lorry thundering down, I always seem to find I get stuck behind someone doing 40 on a slip trying to join a 70, if you build you speed most times they can make it around here but they just faff around. Defiantly no leak, I am in credit but I had 2 large bills a while back as I had a faulty plunger on a toilet and got left for a couple of days whilst I went away, it does need reviewing but not on the top of my list at the moment.

I'm on a meter as that is how it was when I moved in. I live on my own and pay about £30-40 a month via DD, I just use water as I normally would, I use the same amount of water each month (take a reading each month), suites me fine paying for what I use.

When I worked in the NHS we ditched our traditional system and upgraded to Avaya and use the extension mobility add on to interface with mobiles so one number regardless of where we was working with a softphone, the local authorities to me all have softphone on laptops and all promote agile working. At home I had a landline from Virgin as it was cheaper but got rid when I changed my package around. I have a Vonage line now as I like a phone I can use with headset when working at the PC but only ever give the mobile number out these days, I prefer the one number approach. My Vonage number does ring my mobile too if I do get any calls on it but rarely use voice anymore.

Not doing enough to warrant something like that, only tidying the cabling up in the office and a few bits around the house. Not one for power tools here, tend to borrow as I need from friends!

I'm not looking at doing anything big but a tool like this is handy as I can keep it in my toolbox and use it when I need it. Don't posses many tools as I am not a big DIYer at home so tends to be screwdrivers and spanners.

Looks pretty much the same as the Comms Express one. I've used one before and it does the job, just wondered if there was anything else. Any recommendations of where to buy from or is that link the best one?

After a new tool for cutting trunking like this one, hacksaw never gives me the clean cut I want. Any recommendations for such tool, got quite a bit of trunking I am wanting to sort at home so will make the job far easier. Recommendations please.
