Currently running 2 x 24" Samsung monitors, look to upgrade as part of my PC replacement, looking at either a matching pair of 24's or going up to something like 27". There is currently 52% off the Dell U2417H on Amazon, but I am also looking at the Dell U2717D. Not seen any decent deals other than the 52% but still seems quite steep. Any recommendations, mainly for photo work.

I got mine initially for the TV to watch top gear and forgot to cancel the free subscription, now make most of my purchases on there with the delivery options that are available far suite me. Literally just ordered £80's worth off there in the sale.

I don't think that is a bad price, not up on electrical bits but from past experience looks right.

Not a million miles away and in the past have done quite a bit of work in the East Midlands and can highly recommend them are Safe Control. They did a lot of work for me in past places I've worked in from odd points to whole new builds.

Have a shop around, go and see different machines, those who use them most get them involved and you cannot go wrong. Sharp will always be my preference and has been for 10+ years and that is unlikely to change.

What is it with plumbers, either always waiting ages or let down by them! Give them chance to sort and set a deadline, don't burn your bridges but set that deadline for them to resolve or you go elsewhere.

Be interesting to see an updated version of that based on the new wireless standards rather than on just 802.11b now ac is out. Still agree you only need 1 or 2 but curious.

You will always get different response from different people on this topic, I see a lot going for what ever is the cheapest option is on everything including the cost per copy. Also all depends who services in your area and what experience people have had. My choice would always be Sharp with PaperCut from a print management point of view, having used many different machines over the years I find these the most user friendly and to the point where they have actually won an award for this. If you are wanting really high end print room stuff in colour then I see many go for Xerox or Toshiba. What do you have at the moment, what sort of volume is going through them, do you need any with finishers i.e. stapler and or booklet maker, extra paper trays i.e. large capacity bin to the side. Do you actually know what you want or are you reliant on them coming in and making that decision for you? I would personally look at where you want them, what volumes are been done in the areas to make sure you get the right machine in that area that fits with the volumes and can handle what is been put through it, what do your repro need in terms of feature wise, as part of their package what do they offer, what costs extra i.e. visits for this that or the other, are you wanting to go print management route as part of that, if so PaperCut is vendor neutral so you use with what ever in the future without changing your entire system. If you know what you are doing and what you want then you are in a good place to start.

Check there inst a filtered view on the folder you are look in. When you do a search mark it as unread and see if it stands out, also select the column to see which folder it is in in case it has been moved. Might also be worth using a search folder to find mail based on the criteria you are setting and filtering it that way to help find it.

So if that parent looses the list of names, parent who is blocked from seeing their kid finds said list, knows they go to that school, knows which class and who their kid hangs around with who is responsible? Answer from me would be no, if kids want to send a card to the kids then surely they would know who is in their class? We used to know who was in our class when we was at school without a list.

Thanks for the advice, will look at that. I always over spec my machines to last me that bit longer. No plan on overclocking just after a nice little nippy machine that can handle a bit of work from time to time. I've been out of this side of things for a while and things have changed massively since I bought a PC like that and so have prices too! Lots to bare in mind and hopefully can hammer the credit card in the next week or so! Now to just find the perfect monitor setup!

Sorry out the loop on CPU these days, so presuming a 2600 would be second hen? Will take a look at the graphics, never been big on graphics cards as not a gamer just do a bit of photo and video work so went with what I knew. What PSU would you put in, obviously depends on graphics how much would you over spec it? Currently I think I have an 600W or 800W in for running a rig less than this, do I save £100 and use this, I suppose there is nothing wrong with it, I'm reusing a case and optical drive.

Sorry to bump an old topic but looking to replace sooner rather than later so got this setup, what are your thoughts? Think AMD is the route to go, not sure if cooler is the best, motherboard happy with ASUS or Gigabyte used them for years, graphics card think will meet my needs looking to run 2 monitors possible a third. PSU is 400W but its only just looking to use just under 300W. I've got a spare case, was contemplating using the PSU out this machine but think I'd like all new as this one is showing its age. At the 3 times the cost of my last system that I got from Overclockers it's going to last me. My only thoughts were looking to upgrade processing power if it doesn't hike it up.

Cheeky request, I'm looking for recommendations on the following items if anyone see's any good deals whilst out browsing in the deals. 1. Looking for a pair of 24", 27" or even 29" matching monitors, possibly a view to purchase a third depending on size. Don't need curved screen or 4K just matching ideally with display port connectivity. 2. 16 or 24 port managed switch with some POE capability to run Ubiquiti AP and VOIP handset 3. QNAP NAS (current is a 4 bay with 2 x 2TB drives) looking for WD red drives or purchase separate with at least 10-12TB storage and then upgrade drivers in current one to take elsewhere. 4. Intel NUC or Gigabyte Brix PC i3 spec will do 5. Graphics card to run above monitors (see 1) looking GeForce GTX 1050 or above I think. 6. Linking to 1 and 5 I am after a replacement PC (as per this thread), any high end i5 or i7 or AMD equivalent processor and memory bundles going to kick start. Looking 16GB ram I think. I know its a tall order but anyone else on look out for items might be worth posting if you want specifics and then anyone browsing might see something someone else misses. Thanks

Don't know why, only happens in IE in all the testing I did. Odd one really.

Interesting one but if in doubt don't. Have you tried contacting who organised the event and sought permission via them?

Is it just in Internet Explorer this happens, what happens if you run it through Chrome? Go back to Internet Explorer go to printing preferences, detailed settings, other settings, change the duplex style from 3 to 1 and try and it does it charge you 1 rather than 2 pages?

What print driver are you using?

What you have done is remove it on the web interface release page (https://www.papercut.com/kb/Main/ReleaseAndCancelAll), what make of MFD are you using as I don't think its possible on all makes yet?

What MFD's are you using? Also are you still in maintenance as 15.3 is a very old version now, 18.3 is now out.

For what them converters cost you would wire 2 or 3 cameras up from a box of CAT5 depending on length of runs!

My friend who as a BMW has one of these, you need the correct app on your phone for it to work but you can unlock hidden features. The one he had you had to buy credits for but there are others out there and can turn on other things not available in the UK and can run diagnostics etc.
