  1. Have you tried installing and specifying the IP and see what it does?
  2. Quick search brought one up on Amazon for £122. Broadbandbuyer.co.uk do have a good selection of 4G routers, some of which are cheaper.
  3. Those who give the wifi key out, do you do that for all your visitors or do you have a guest wifi they use? If not big no from me Ofsted or not.
  4. PaperCut don't recommend SQL for small scale installs.
  5. No issues and I have much larger installs using the DB and not SQL and its fine. Just on the codes for the kids, they can access and randomly generate their own code from within the user portal. I've got one site setup like this so they have cards and AD login but also it generates them a PIN, locked down many functions in the user portal but they can get the pin and generate a new one if they don't like it but they can also see their current one. Reduces calls massively.
  6. I have used Aruba in a large multi site environment without any issues, if Ubiquiti didn't so what I needed Aruba would be next on my list.

    Refurb old Macs

I thought you could hold down a certain key combination and it would download the OS for these rather than messing around with USB sticks?
  8. Sage have some HR software, not had any experience of it but might be worth a look.
  9. There is no common sense anymore, I'm done with people these days!!
  10. I've used all sorts of the the years but now just using Defender with Windows.
  11. The only reason I say do it on a client PC, doesn't have to be domain joined either is that IE does some random things and most servers don't have say Chrome installed which I find works far better. Just because a domain admin is a domain admin it doesn't mean its an administrator in PaperCut unless they have been made admin.
  12. Have you tried selecting the group of users you wish to do this for? Are you doing this from the server or have you logged into the portal on your desktop with an account that has permissions to do so?
  13. Have a look at the attached it should solve it. Be aware some machines may need a firmware upgrade to fix, let me know the model and I can see if its one of the affected ones.Scan to Office 365.pdf
  14. Listed on Companies House as Wonde Ltd, I've never heard of them though.
  15. Had a blip earlier but restarted Outlook and it was fine.
  16. Nagios or Zenoss are two I have used in the past.
  17. I'm quite happy to run something at home but everything seems to go back to the "cloud" these days, for me I am not fussed as long as I can program it easier either on an app when at home or an easier to setup screen. I want to be more efficient and cool certain rooms off and have better control of my heating is the reason I am looking in to.
  18. Thanks for the replies. I have been looking and I am probably going to invest in the Honeywell system before I replace the system to save a bit of cash providing my boiler will support it. One question for users of it with the app can you login to it when you are away from home or is it only when you are on the LAN? No an issue as I could VPN back!
  19. Never had an issue when I do buy from them, although Amazon tend to get a lot of work now due to having Prime. The thing that bugs me with eBuyer is they don't have a collection facility, I drive past their Head Office site several times a week and would be easier to pick stuff up, I know it comes from different warehouses but would be easier.
  20. It's a while since I initially posted this, things have changed and I am ready to launch my boiler out the window if I don't have hot water in the morning. I am seriously looking to replace the full system in the near future and want to make it smart. I'm looking at doing the full works, new radiators plus the boiler and the radiators I have are original and just want to start again, as regards to boilers any recommendations, I am after a combi one. As regards to the controls the Honeywell Evohome and Drayton seem to be popular, I want to zone the house, I have seen the TRV's that are programmed for each room which is a good idea for me, I want ease of access to program schedules in, not the end all but would be handy if I can access on my phone for when working late etc I can fire it up on the way in rather than having it running for hours before I do get home. Anyone got a smart system running at home and want to share their experiences of any they have? This is one project I want to go to town on, parts of my house get too warm as currently no thermostat and others are chilly, I want to control it and reduce what I spend unnecessarily.
  21. VBS with this in, just enter relevant details and then place in startup folder:
  22. I have a VBS on a PC that runs on start up and emails me when its logged on.
  23. You want something like this. They do a radio pendant, it is the sort of thing care homes use. Another thing we had at one of our mental health sites was a pager device carried by all, you pressed it if in trouble, yours stays silent and everyone elses goes off, a screen where you sign them in and out alerts and you have sensors fitted around the site so when you go down as such everyone knows where you are. We use Stanley for it, site was over 4 buildings and there was coverage across the site.
  24. Yes the NHS smartcard can be used, former colleagues of mine have written a certificate (think its only new cards have the space for multiple certificates) and it allows them to and the use it for DA authentication also. If they are used in NHS all PC's have smartcard keyboards as a rule or a card reader.
  25. Does it happen at the same time, get them to note the time when it does it. It could coincide with something happening at the same time every day, light switch, hand dryer, school bell.
