I would look at toner prices for machines, most of the machines are about the same these days but running costs with things such as drums can make a difference. Lexmark do some good quality machines might be worth looking at them or Samsung.

Does said member of staff have a mouse at home they use on their computer, if that works for them get details and order the same if they are happy with it or let them choose what is best for them as you could get something and it be no good for them.

In this instance it isn't in a school, just wifi separated off the normal LAN for things like phones and other dirty devices. There will only ever be a handful of devices and key will be needed.

What ports would a user need open to access basic services on a network? Say you have a guest network for external people and you brought a device in for internet same as you do in a Cafe what do you need to work? TCP 80 and 443 for internet traffic, along with 53 for DNS and 123 for a time server. I suppose you can specify which DNS they use i.e. Google. Email would be ports 25, 587, 465, 143 and 993 would cover all the key services and then any other ports would be VPN to enable connect back, RDP and then maybe UDP 500 and 4500 (VPN ports also) for WiFi calling. Most things work over 80 or 443 just wondered if there is anything else, as just doing a piece of work at the moment.

Surely its better practice to check who they are sending them to, ensure all staff have had training, anyone sends to wrong person and has had training them take down discipline route if serious, far better to do that than delay email.

I don't have any keys any more for work, just 1 paxton fob setup for various customer sites I go to so much easier, have got my ID badge setup the same so can usually get in. On the keys just the usual house ones (soon to be one with new locks), car key and fire engine key (I operate a preserved engine with a friend and he is a pain at remember the key when we go out so I got a copy to keep on my keys)

Quite easily to do yourself these days if you have head for heights, if not have a chat with a local aerial installer! I used this tool to work out distances and then used Google Earth to check for any hills in the way which scuppered my plans. You don't want massive poles unless you can install a tower frame as the wind can knock them out of alignment then you got to go back up but if I had a head of heights I would install myself.

They do a WF40 for the Yealink phones too but what I did discover last week was the Grandsteam GXP1760W, just needs power and is quite a nice handset. My mates business has just deployed a load of a FreePBX installation and they are not that expensive I don't think. Find a Grandstream gold re-seller if you can.

What about a dual monitor setup/swap input on monitors and use Synergy?

Thanks that has just come at the right time. On the topic of FileZilla, I've not had an issue with the installer but you do need to be careful which one you click on download.

Give Safe Lincs a call or Lindum Fire Servicces and see what they can do for you.

There is a selection available here. Just be mindful of how much load you are putting on them in terms of amps, same rule applies as it does extension leads just because there is a socket doesn't mean you can fill them all. You have a fire caused by overloading FI will see that and insurance won't pay out.

If you take the switch out of the equation and plug the computer into the port direct does it work?
