  1. We have the G4 and the G5s and they're great little machines. All the admin staff have them as they save space and couldn't be happier with the performance. When we look replacing some computers in a room next financial year, I'm tempted to use them with replacement monitors/brackets to have AIOs
  2. I have it setup at the minute as if you are a member of any of these groups (years 7 to 11 group emails) and send to a member of this group (years 7 to 11 group emails), then reject and send to me. Not sure its entirely working at the moment though..
  3. I've decided not to go to BETT this year. Being based on Fylde coast, its a bit of a trek and stuff like connect puts me off.
  4. I'm surprised RM are still a thing. I remember them sponsoring my high schools first computers in the mid 90s!
  5. Squash and a Squeeze
  6. Does anyone know if this guide can be found in a better format somewhere?
  7. Can I set a rule in O365 where if the email address has a number at the start, it cannot be sent to?
  8. It says here from feb 24 A1 will have eligibility Managing Copilot (formerly Bing Chat Enterprise) access for Faculty and Higher Education 18+ student - Microsoft Community Hub Does that mean A1 customers will be eligible to buy it? or will some of it be a part of A1?
  9. The last changes I knew about were having to display the times of the day and uniform policy (including where to get pre-owned uniform)
  10. MDT is still not officially supported but still works with Windows 11. The funny thing is that there is nothing out there to replace it unless you want to rely on single developers building 3rd party tools. All the great push towards a subscription model.
  11. Can someone clear something up for me please? Previous NM got our Teams phone system through a company called Charterhouse and they use Gamma for the phone numbers. We now need an additional 3 licences/numbers. After a while, they have finally given us 3 extra microsoft licences but I still need 3 new phone numbers so they can ring external. Charterhouse are being less than useless helping me with this. Is this something I can approach Gamma directly to do? or do something in Teams admin? or is it down to the original supplier, Charterhouse, to do for me?
  12. Same but Fylde area if anyone can recommend!
  13. Just had SLT in panicking because they thought they'd been naughty
  14. I've literally just got back into Medal of Honor Allied Assault. £1.99 on GOG and it has loads of people playing online too! Be sure to get the community launcher for it as it sorts out the resolution etc
  15. Silly question.. If you were rolling out the Google Authenticator app, would you advise them to use their own gmail account to sign into the app or a school one?
  16. The Synology system looks nice but annoyingly I already have new servers in place (bought by previous NM) so another £2000+ on a server probably isn't going to happen. Unless there's a way to get the software on non-synology equipment?
  17. I had a look at QNAP but it seems they've now moved onto a next generation product. Are schools really paying ongoing monthly subscriptions for on premises CCTV? I've tried Blue Iris but once you get beyond 12 cameras it starts becoming unusable.
  18. Can anyone here who has a Synology NAS recommend any particular models?
  19. We're using 2.17tb out of 100tb ha and I thought we were using it more heavily..
  20. Ah that's fine. We were still using the old address!! Hadn't been told there was a new one. Works fine for us now.
  21. I have just had a phone call off them. What website do you use to access netsweeper?
  22. Fortunately, we don't have to rely on Netsweeper properly, its just something that we have on our connection with LCC/EDS and yeah its woeful. Currently waiting for a response as I don't think allow/deny is working properly.
  23. I read a few months ago that Microsoft were favouring the notification method rather than the 6 digit one. Microsoft Authenticator mandates number matching to counter MFA fatigue attacks | ITPro
  24. We were already on a cloud product but there was some sort of migration their end 17th October. The filtering has been working fine so didn't think much else of it but after trying to do a few changes recently I've come to realise I don't think all is well!
  25. So is yours back to normal now? My case has been "escalated" to the netsweeper team.
