  1. Does anyone know how to disable this "feature" in teams I can't see it in teams admin so i'm guessing it an exchange thing. Ideally we want to ban it by group but would ban it for all if we needed. Kids are using it for evil lol
  2. Thanks Jaan, really useful. Very appreciated
  3. Did you use a third party company for the Verkada install or is it something they also install? Any idea on cost compared to the normal NVR setup? Guessing there's an annual licensing cost? Thanks
  4. Well technically Azure is a server lol. There is no thing as serverless we're just renting servers but we don't have any one site. My devices don't need to find each other they just need the internet.
  5. You can run DHCP off the core switch and use 8.8.8.8 as dns
  6. Good timing i'm just getting cctv quotes. Is this similar to the paxton cctv system?
  7. I do have said access. So i don't need a VPN to connect to the Azure VM? I just need to use an external IP? I'll need to do some reading lol I need to fully understand it if I'm going to use it.
  8. one trust wasn't enough lol Thats a good idea with the PO. I'll talk to finance and see if we can figure something out for it. I'm currently using Stone for our licenses so will have a chat with them. Thank you for your responses, saved a good amount of googling.
  9. perfect, thanks snagrat. So looking at under £1000 for the year which is great. We're using Smoothwall which should VPN to azure. I'll double check with them. Are you paying for the VM directly to MS through O365 billing or are you using a third party? i'd prefer an annual thing as otherwise finance makes me do a PO every month
  10. What you're saying is its complicated lol. Why cant things be simpler. For Aruba the vm would need to see the switches to work correctly. So i would need to VPN it back? For Salamander it wouldn't need to come back to site as Salamander can run anywhere as long as it has the internet.
  11. I'm looking at Azure VMs but I'm struggling to find pricing and how i license. I currently have A5. I'm M365 and serverless. I'm running a few things off a desktop and I'm looking at moving them to an Azure VM. Wondering if someone has pricing etc. The main things i want to run off the VM is SalamanderSoft and Aruba Airwave. Both don't really need much power or CPU. Aruba Airwave would go on first and Salamander in the future. Thanks
  12. Setting up an MTO would work, just be careful as some of its still in preview or only accessible under certain circumstances. If you plan on moving to a central tenant i would just focus on doing that rather than a half way solution. It's going to take you a year or two to move it anyway but there are some quick wins. If your schools are all on prem at the moment the move to a central cloud prem like azure is fairly easy. Its only as disruptive as moving an on prem setup to azure.
  13. logic 101 there. Errrr in the cloud They look ok to me. More importantly they look easy for someone else to manage. Our Paxton10 system combines access control with video surveillance and management on a single platform, however it can also be run as a dedicated video surveillance system. Users can access their system via the online web user interface from anywhere in the world with an internet connection, or manage their system on the go with the Paxton Connect app. The video management functionality of Paxton10 collects and stores the video captured by the cameras installed on site, and provides an interface to view both live video and access recorded footage. The software makes it easy to access video footage with an extensive range of functionality, including motion detection, video export, bookmarking and smart search. The footage can also be linked to access events to provide a comprehensive record of the movement of users, visitors and vehicles around the site.
