We had 62 printers, 6 Photocopiers. We now have 6 printers (Areas such as Head, Finance) + 8 Photocopiers operating follow me printing. The printers default to follow me if over 20 pages. Students are given £1 worth of printing a week. HODs set a departmental budget for printing/copying which is set also.

Hard water is definitely a pain, i have only had the whole house gutted and replumbed 4 years ago so fairly new. 2 years down the line and an inline water filter and a kinetico water softener are struggling to keep up - i go through a block of salt every 2-3 weeks.

Try checking all accessible water pipes are clamped down properly. Another consideration is to get a pressure regulator fitted to see if that helps. (Might already have it installed)

+1 for Umra, but we use salamander instead now as it does much more for us.

We have this issue too, but it doesn't involve the Genee Board - it is just a normal dell machine. A force restart usually fixes this for us, but it has caused lots of pain for the poor teacher.

We use Salus, with the TRVs, if you are confident you can self install alot of these things.

Have you asked your reseller ? I know its bad practice but sometimes they buy on the back of other orders.

Do you have Salamander? I am guessing here but i think they can import into a udf for you, also don’t SIMs have a import tool? Been a long time since i helped with sims so my memory is blank at the moment

To be honest, the head asked the school GAFE or Microsoft, everyone bar 3 people said Microsoft. The school likes the idea of chromebooks but I’ve not had a chance to get/give them a PoC of chromebooks in our school whilst being a Microsoft school. Any help from anyone would be grateful.

What gateway does it say it is attempting to connect to? I assume it is the external FQDN?

Question: how comes you are using the server with your domain admin acc to access parentpay website? I was going to say a tls error but seeing as you have tried another browser that rules that out

We have a firewall vlan on our setup, bgfl use an IP address 10.xx.xx.1 as the gateway. You then set a route to that ip address and any vlans which you have configured will hit the internet. (Sorry if it doesn’t make sense) typing in a hurry whilst trying to help my Nephew. I can give you an example config when i get back into the office.

Rssnfrssn what issues are you having? We have managed to fix most of our issues this year. I took over the management of it and saw that infact most of the issues were because of the way admin did things. -
I just say everything is procured by our LEA for about 10 schools so speak to them, the guy there will send them back my way and so forth, quickly they will learn to go away.

We Kensington lock everything, there is also a guideline for teachers to follow after every lesson to ensure that all computers are working - this usually helps us catch the person if someone has damaged anything. As they are usually the last logged on student

@Zoom7000 thanks for that. We have a Director of Ops who just purchased a CCTV system from them. Likes Atomwide. We are about to start our wifi procurement and for me it is either Unifi or Meraki. We have 4 schools to kit out which is why i am preferring Unifi as two of the schools already have fairly newish Ruckus Kit.
