  1. How many are you purchasing?
  2. sure, please do - but i must stress that it is not ready for other schools to use yet as i need to clean up alot of the code and tighten up the security before i can share a working version.
  3. We are building our own IT Help desk unique to our needs but have built in functionality to onboard schools if some of our neighbours schools wants to use it. Currently has a helpdesk with trackable assets, a loan system which is integrated into a full asset management system and a form module for parents who sign for responsibility of the laptops away from school. It is currently has standalone and M365 integration. Users can be synced from Bromcom as we use that in our consortium. We are nowhere near a fully finished product yet but its been working well for us. Will be happy to share a trial for any schools who want to use it once we have finished. (We 3 techs are building it in our own time so its taking a little longer than we had hoped)
  4. We had them, although we swapped everything for Net2 plus controllers as the battery swapping became too much for Site for 110 doors. We had issues with the ones whereby the carpenters did not install them properly. Other than that, no issues with them
  5. We have the 2-in-1's and do not seem to have this issue. although i will double check for you tomorrow.
  6. We have it working here but depending on your use case i would not do it again - its just an additional overhead. We have had it for a few years now.
  7. @garethedmondson is this now working for you? we have an issue with ipxe anywhere (essentially pxe boot works, then just get errors once its passed over to ipxe anywhere)
  8. have you managed to fix this?
  9. I use them for my own personal IT Company. They are great for me
  10. it depends, if you just want the basics, bromcoms offering allows just that, if you want to customise stuff then Locker and Salamander is the way to go. We use Salamander - they have heavily customised our setup for us and more often than not its config changes within the same day.
  11. @Patrick what manufacturer are the printers? adding a printer is easy, its the driver part where it takes some testing.
  12. Paxton if installed correctly just works. NB: Although i work for a school i own my own company doing Security/AV/IT and Paxton is all we install for schools. as mentioned above, you will also need to think about getting fire relays for your escape routes as relying on the software alone is not regs.
  13. For Shared Devices, there is shared policy with KFM and one without. For the papercut, we have a single follow me print queue so use print deploy for that. For the 1-2-1 printers, i have a script which i package up to install the driver and then add the printer to each user who logs into the device. for Edge sync, double check you have no profile conflicts, thats the single biggest thing which causes issues and is often overlooked. Please PM me if you need any help and il try to help where i can.
  14. @Bugzi - Where are you based? Happy to jump on a call to help you!
  15. From memory, nothing will happen to the existing data except redirect as expected but again do test with a account with some data. We did this about 4 years ago so please forgive me if i am steering you down the wrong path.
  16. MT-8200-60-KIT is my recommendation.
  17. It used to be linked to the store for business which is now defunct. What happens when you go to the following page? there is a shape the future link here which you can use to sign up. https://educationstore.microsoft.com/en-gb/manage/inventory/benefits/eloe
  18. We are Hybrid at the moment, our only reason for this is because of PKI and 802.1x There are ways to achieve it but its too much of a faff in our environment. We are in the process of trialling Cloud PKI so we might be moving fully to Intune (it is definitely the way to go! just not yet for us anyway.)
  19. We have 3 different sets from Sharp, all solid, no issues whatsoever.
  20. You will need to go into bios and point the UEFI to the boot partition.
  21. Who the heck told you its a Cisco Fault? We had a similar issue to you but ended up using intune to first uninstall and then reinstall the new client. Was a complete Faff - took about 2 weeks to do but luckily we have no need for VPN anymore except for IT and Finance.
  22. proxyAddresses are correct?
  23. Promethean collect themselves too - i don't think there is a charge.
  24. I think the main reason for keeping your IP Addressing within their subnet is if you utilise majority of their services. We use their scopes but have several 192 ip address ranges which are Natted to a single IP if they need internet access. as @fiza said, @PaddyNewman is your go to guy.
