We are looking mcafee - apparently they have rewritten alot of the code to recreate the product and has a all in one solution for av + ransomware
-
I have been using it since windows 10 came out with no issues whatsoever, not on education but i don't think it makes much difference as the underlying code is the same. (Someone please correct me if i am talking rubbish)

There is a whole thread on here somewhere, probably best to start there + googling as suggested above for more materials.

Hi James, please do correct me if i am wrong but should'nt taking her files with her possibly turn into a breach of data protection? Also is she copying? Or going to take everything? Could probably just copy all the work which has no identifiable data to a pc and then she can copy to her personal system? Sorry if i am wrong

What solution are you guys using for OS deployment these days?
mukz replied to localzuk's topic in O/S Deployment
Completely agree with Blue_Cookeh about setting up multicast. Also if you are dell house, use the sccm integrations to do drivers, bios n all other sorts -
Did they not provide you with a list of switches with serial numbers and locations? Maybe you could find the serial number or mac address from the utility and check the documentation?
-
Hi Mate, Quick question, have you changed any firewall settings at all? This usually happens to me, when someone changes the firewall settings. Also check your Site settings to see if someone has enabled HTTPS Mukesh

Please check this first: SSMS > Security > Logins > the SQL login account > User Mapping > should be mapped to CM_001 with that same user and the schema should be dbo. I have smsschm_users also ticked as a role membership. I ran this on the other test to get it working but i would test it somewhere to make sure yourself first. GRANT SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE, INSERT on SCHEMA::dbo TO (sqlaccount)

I managed to recreate the error here in a test environment, but i managed to fix it by changing the owner to the newly created sccm sql user. Sorry i couldn't help further. Will ask around to some people i know if they know of a solution.

Hey FM-GM, Can you just for testing purposes change account to another one on SQL that has access to the sccm database? For example sccm_sql_sa or anything which has full access to the DBs

What print solution do you use? iirc papercut does this. But you need a client on the machines.

Sorry if i missed this but does anyone run automation at home? Going to be moving soon before i do the house up. I already have the network side planned, the lighting, heating and av is planned, just wanted to see if anyone also had security hooked up? -
Whats event log saying on the windows server? Can u post a screen shot of any errors?
-
Following on PyROm, its also worth checking you have migrated away from fsr - this solved alot of issues for me.
-
What is your end goal? Except to replace an aging server and move to a vanilla network? What is your rough budget? How much data space is needed min for storage? Will this be only user files?(how much storage is currently being used?) I have not dealt with RM before so hence my reasons for asking.
-
Yup restarting does the fix.

Have you logged into any of the machines using impero? When i do this with netsupport it gives me the other user option before the normal box.
