  1. We have always renewed/fresh agreement a month before. I am pretty sure the anniversary date stays also unless it is a fresh agreement of course.
  2. DLink Support is actually very good. They created specific software for a customers switches because it didn't do something that it was brought for.
  3. I would get in touch with some of the universities over here in the UK. I remember Brunel Uni making me ensure i had a fully patched, antivirus updated, and certain features turned on/off before i could access the network. Cant for the life of me remember what it was called (9 years ago)
  4. You need to do some Excel Magic. There are some chaps on here to are much better than me at doing so. LosOjos comes to mind. I think the only way to update a sheet is to have that sheet reference a master file.
  5. Also how what is the warranty?
  6. I had something from 3 years ago, but deleted it like a numbnut! Essentially, the pros and cons of both were Desktops- pros Fixed stations, can monitor easily. Cost much cheaper. Desktops - cons Benching costs Cabling costs (switch gear, electrics etc) Less space Laptops - Pros Mobile Allows use anywhere Laptops - Cons Expensive Trolley or other method of storage (expensive) Easy to break Chargers go missing if not a charging trolley Wireless infrastructure has to be robust Thats just some of the pros and cons Mukesh
  7. All of this. We have 8 IT suites fully timetabled! 11 Trolleys with 30 laptops each and these are a right pain to manage. Laptops are not charged, pins get broken because the kids treat it like crap, mostly used by Science and Geog & History now as they are the most sensible teachers ever (actually check the trollies themselves and attempt fixes before calling us) I forgot to mention we are creating 2 new IT suites with Thin Clients - should be interesting as the backend is absolute pants for VDI.
  8. +1 for this, we used to use this before NOVA
  9. +1 to this. Avigilon is above everyone in terms of CCTV analytics. tracking people on site becomes easier. alerts for truancy in areas which are usually empty we had a kid etch a pen1s onto a teachers car and instantly found out who it was by drawing a line around the car and it skipped to all the events that someone was within the vicinity of that area. Asset labels

We order from Selecta Mark, they one one that is registered against a database and if stolen can help police identify said item.
  11. Hi Brendan, Firstly good luck with them! They are a right pain! We are trying to do a hybrid setup and they are refusing to make some changes for us. We are therefore now upgrading our exchange box to 2016 and we will be looking to ditch LGFL when our contract is up, we already have lightspeed and trustwave mail security products on site, and we use none of the services except myuso and usofx of which we are happy to for. Stick with it as word going around that they are looking to change their business model so schools can pick and choose what they want.

    Mice

We hardly ever buy keyboards n mice now, we get it replaced under warranty from dell. We have some that if picked up can be taken for free.
  13. We have this same setup, but have the SY controller all on the wall in far corner. We had the luxury of cutting a floor box so cables are not trailing and are directly underneath the lectern. Quick Question: did Real Sound and Vision do your sound install by any chance?
  14. Congrats buddy! Try adding some 10 min HIIT sessions into your weekly routines if you can, will keep the body burning for longer periods. I weighed 8 Stone when i was 21 with a lean physique, broke my leg playing footy, stopped training and football ever since. 6 month ago i weighed 12 stone with some serious fat! 26% body fat now down to 20% plus 1 stone lighter. HIIT training burns more and last longer than just running. Football obviously is an example.
  15. We use a company called Arrow communications who resell for gamma. We are on the hosted Horizon platform. I would go direct to Gamma when our renewal is up.
  16. I never do in-place upgrades, never been a fan, i usually convert to hyper v and then fresh install everything on the box, we only have a dc physically plus two clustered hyperv hosts
  17. We have mdf wood put as shelving underneath worktops, the front is covered with perspex glass, made by the D&T department. On the worktop is just monitor and keyboard and mouse. Trunking is all directly underneath worktop at top, ventilation to the computer is from the back of the shelving.
  18. I am keeping an eye on this topic, we have 4 schools and would like to do just this as Sixth Formers roam across the sites.
  19. You can create a master spreadsheet that would read from any marksheet that you pull out of sims. We use to do this until SISRA was brought for analysis. So our master sheet would have all the snazzy stuff on it and it would just reference the data on the exported marksheet.
  20. Hi Timbo, sorry for late reply, according to biostore that is the latest version they have. But i keep ringing everyday [emoji5]️ just cause i like annoying them.
  21. I had this same damn issue, got fed up after 2 weeks and decided it was time to move to SCCM CB, we were running old version still. There was something to do with the security setting in SQL stopping access to the MP but i couldn't fix the issue.
  22. We have MF with a follow me queue to the copiers. staff for that subject are given read only access to the shares. They print as it comes from there department. They know its the correct one being printed. Works well.
  23. We only have the issue this year. This was a reply from their 2nd Line Analyst along with the attachment. The report is not calculating missing marks, the report indicates that missing marks have been ignored. In this instance the report is giving you true figures to actual percentage attendance per lessons and periods. If you see my screen shot of test data below, this cleary calculates the marks enetered against each lesson and then gives a total percentage attendance. The missing marks have been ingnored indicates that the report is not calaculating the percentage attendance of missing lessons or periods and only calculating the actual attendance of present marks. Am I being STUPID! or that does that not also look wrong to anyone else. I mean its right if it the missing marks have been ignored was not there.
  24. Hi Guys, Does anyone else have the bug when you run this report whereby missing marks are not actually ignored. Thanks Mukesh
