Hi all, We're using Intune to manage and support some Android 11 devices that are enrolled into Intune as Fully Managed. I've noticed that users are able to go into the Certificates, Settings option and remove Certificates that have been deployed by Intune. Anyone know if there is a way to prevent users being able to remove certificates on Fully Managed devices? Thanks

The offices are located in other parts of the country. Our main school sites are connected via VPLS to our main site, it's just that we have a few outlying admin/support offices

Hi all, we have a requirement to connect a remote office to our main network. This office is only used by staff, no students. Currently our laptops/PC's have VPN software installed that connects back to the main firewall. I'd like to look at something a bit more centralised, where client devices don't need individual VPN software. The building we're in has shared internet, so we can't install our own external connection. We'd also like to avoid installing any servers in the office. Has anyone accomplished something similar to this? In the past, I've seen a solution using Meraki AP's. The Meraki AP's would create their own tunnel to a virtual appliance hosted in our central datacentre. Client devices would then connect to the AP though a normal SSID and would have a connection to our LAN, without anything needing to be configured by the user. Does Meraki still offer this as a solution?

A consideration, yes. We tend to avoid the latest Windows release though and go for the previous version. Just because of stability.

Thanks for this Norphy. Wasn't ware that 2016 RS3 had deprecated FRS for SYSVOL. I've read through this and we're showing the global state as eliminated, which is great. Never normally have things already completed, normally end up chasing myself in circles Given this, you reckon a 2016 DC is no problem and that it doesn't affect Azure sync?

Afternoon all, We're looking to commission our first 2016 DC/DNS Server. Our domain currently runs on 2012 (R1) DCs, the Forest and Domain functional levels are at 2008 R2. We have Azure AD Sync running to our O365 tenancy. Reading through the install guide on https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/identity/ad-ds/deploy/upgrade-domain-controllers , the article mentions that a new install of a 2016 DC will automatically run the domainprep and forestprep commands. From this, I have a couple of questions: 1.) Can anyone provide feedback on their experiences of installing their first 2016 DC (potentially on a 2008 R2 functional level). Did everything work ok and the adprep command automatically run ok? 2.) Did anything to do with AD sync, either from Azure Sync or third party SSO, break when the 2016 DC was installed? Morning all, Although I know the MS's plans are to move us all over to Teams, we're currently still using Skype as our communication platform. I just wondered if there's a way for us to use the 365 portal to search through and run reports on the content of Skype conversations. I'm aware that conversation history is kept in the Outlook folder of the same name. However I've been tasked with investigating if we can view chat transcripts from the 365 back end. Has anyone achieved this or know how it is done? I've searched through various pages but don't seem to be able to find a definitive answer. Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I'm basically trying to get a VM level backup into Azure storage, probably on a weekly basis. Thought a backup copy job would be the best way of doing this, but understanding how to get Veeam to see the Azure storage as a repository is where I'm coming a bit unstuck. Or would it be better to run another independent backup job that just uses Azure?

Hi all, I thought I'd create a separate thread from my original Cloud question, as this is quite specific. We currently have Veeam 9.5 U4 and are using it to back and replicate our VMWare VM's. Veeam runs backup jobs on a daily basis, then once per month carries out a copy job to a different repository. All onsite.What I'd like to do is configure Veeam to send backups to Azure, either once per week or once per month.I found the following website : https://www.carysun.com/step-by-step-to-use-veeam-archive-on-premises-data-to-azure-blob-veeam-azure-blob-mvphour/ that talks you through some of the steps. I'm up to step 28, at which point the guide references making sure the extents are not the same as the target backup repository. This is the bit I'm confused at, as the extent is part of the current backup infrastructure.Does anyone know of a guide as to how I can setup Veeam to do what I require? As I'm struggling a bit to find a definite answer to what I'm trying to achieve.

I've been looking into using Azure as a storage location for backups. Do you use Veeam to offsite your backups?

Morning all, We're currently undertaking a project to decommission our existing VLE and move to either Teams for Education or Google Classroom. We're currently a O365 school. However if we move to Google Classroom, we will also move our cloud based email etc from O365 to GSuite. I have lots of evidence from people who use Classroom and how much they like it. However, there seems to be fewer schools who run Teams. Reading MS's announcement on Monday, it looks like there will be quite a few changes over summer to bring it more in line with Google. I just wondered if any Teams users could give me their feedback on how it works?

Afternoon all, A couple of us at our school have been on an Azure fundamentals course, where we learned about what Azure can do. We already have 365 and AD connect setup, we've also just setup a Wordpress site as a little test. However, I'm intrigued to know if anyone's using Azure for anything else, or if you have any plans to migrate services to Azure. Thanks in advance
