  1. We have been supplied with a replacement driver that disables this feature. Samsung are still looking into the issue to find out what causes it though.
  2. @bossman I thought that you needed an RM support contract to get access to updates and the kb articles?

    Plug Adapters

That would be because you shouldn't be using them as the appliance wouldn't be earthed.
  4. I doubt it's magnetic as he has pencils stuck to it!!
  5. Can I run this on my Mac?
  6. Ebuyer has a few of these Sumvision Cyclone Android media player things. This one has a couple of reviews: Sumvision Cyclone Nano Android Media Player | Ebuyer.com
  7. These printers are still available... we're open to offers on them. Would be a shame to send them off to a computer disposal company.
  8. What is the reason in the console for the install being declined? It should give you a bit of information?
  9. Probably a Compaq D510 CMT (P4 2ghz, 512mb RAM), although I shall be replacing it over the easter break. I guess it's from around 2003/4..
  10. You could use a product such as Impero to broadcast whatever is on the teachers display to the pupils computer.
  11. I don't know about XP but if you are looking to install the Multilingual User Interface Packs on Windows 7 you will require either Enterprise or Ultimate.
  12. I created an MSI package following this guide here: How to Deploy VNC using Group Policy | Wayne Zimmerman's Blog
  13. I thought that some of the staff would make a fuss when I rolled out VNC but so far they've only praised it! I only use it when I'm on the phone to them so they know that it's me connecting. Our UltraVNC package also only allow domain admins to connect to machines also providing some extra security in case a student managed to bring a VNC viewer onto the network.
  14. This is why I configured VNC to require the user to accept the connection.
  15. I use UltraVNC, works fine with XP and 7 clients.
  16. We've got a managed print contract and have been provided with a fleet of Samsung ML-3710ND's. The printers themselves are pretty good, on the other hand the Samsung driver isn't great, it includes some port monitor thing that was constantly popping up telling you that the port is not connected (but still printing), a couple of other people on this forum have had the same issue. Samsung finally provided an updated driver that removed this port monitor. Samsung are coming out this afternoon to have a look at this port monitor issue.
  17. Just out of interest, why does this one have an RM OEM COA attached to it?
  18. I use FOAM CLEANER, 400ML AEROSOL - PPC100 - PRO POWER to clean laptops, monitors, computers, whiteboards etc.. I'm sure it would be fine for iPads as long as you don't go licking them or anything!
  19. We've used Complete - choice, excellence and integrity » Complete Imaging Ltd for our school printers. Their pricing was very competitive and their support has been very good.
  20. It shouldn't half the speed. Fast ethernet uses 2 pairs, cat5e cable has 4 pairs so the splitters simply use 2 pairs for one connection and 2 pairs for the second connection. Gigabit ethernet uses all 4 pairs so these cable splitter/economisers won't work for gigabit connections.
  21. What version of Movie Plus are you using?
  22. That's a good bargain you got there Nigel! I wonder where you got them from... Does the APC software work ok if you're using higher capacity batteries than it expects for that model of UPS?
  23. Which version of RM One was this out of curiousity?
  24. I've had an AP9617 (now discontinued) in a SmartUPS 1500 working fine. The AP9630 says that it works with the SmartUPS's so it should be fine. It's a case of removing the 2 screws that hold the plastic cover in place on the back, slotting the card in and replacing the screws.
