Has anybody tried Emerge on a Nexus 7 tablet?

Sounds like the same issue we had with one of our XJ-A140's. Casio swapped it out for repair, the loan unit experienced the same issue and our unit still had the issue when returned. Turned out to be an issue with the VGA cable - length or interference maybe? Try connecting a laptop directly to the projector with a known decent, short cable.

Just a thought... Could you install VMware ESXi 5 on the Xserve and then install OS X 10.8 server as a VM?

I plan to carry on using Windows 7 on desktops and laptops but preparing the network to be ready for Windows 8 on tablets/touchscreen computers.

I just stick some black LX tape over the LEDs. Although I think I need to get some silver LX for my Mac Mini as black looks a little out of place

It's not that bad, we've got a PDU at work with about 12x 13a sockets on them, it's limited to 10a though because it has an IEC connector on the trailing lead. It's not really an issue though. If you plug 10 toasters in then it will blow the fuse before anything dangerous happens.

I'm sure RM released an update so that you could delete machines that have a privileged user on them. You'll have to log a call with RM as they'll need to manually remove the intries for the machines from the CC4 database.

Thanks for your advice. We have ~12 VM's at the minute (6 was just for example). So I'm correct in thinking we need enough licenses 'allocated' to each host to allow all the VM's to run on one host should the other 2 fail? According to the 'Microsoft Virtualisation Calculator' if you're running a 3rd party hypervisor (Citrix XenServer, VMware ESXi) then you can run 2x VM's with 1 license. If you're running Hyper-V, plus 2x VM's you would need 2 licenses for Standard or an Enterprise license.

Morning all I was wondering if any of you might be able to help me find the answer to this question (I don't fancy trying to find out from Microsoft as they just pass you between departments!). We have a VMware virtualised platform, 3 hosts and a SAN. What is causing confusion is whether or not we need a Windows Server license for each host that the VM could run on. For example... we have 3 hosts and 6 VM's. Do we need... 3 licenses for Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard (Standard licenses license you to run 2 VM's on one physical box). 18 licenses for Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard to allow any/all of the machines to be run on any 3 of the hosts at any one time. 6 licenses for Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter and be done with it (2 processors per host)? Have you managed to package it for use on an RM network? Were you able to import the Sibelius7Installer.msi straight into the RMMC? I've been trying today, not had much luck though.

Have a look on the D: drive of your forest root, in RMDelivery\RMPackages\Applications, I think... IIRC the packages go into that folder before being automatically imported to the RMMC (On CC3 they were stored in that folder, on CC4 they aren't). I think that's the location but can't be sure off the top of my head.

We've used a 40" plasma once for displaying the tennis outside, that was in the summer, in a bit of a shaded area, perfectly visible. Another time we've used a 15,000 lumens projector to display some presentations outside. It was ok during the day (much better at night though), although it was a pretty overcast day...

With the Macbook's having a unibody casing I'd imagine it's harder for the moisture to get out as there's limited air gaps etc..

Like what others have said, use a decent print management system (we use PaperCut NG), and set something up like follow-me printing (Tour - Find Me Printing - PaperCut ). Users will print to a virtual print queue then the print job can be released from whichever printer they are nearest to. I believe this can work better with PaperCut MF when embedded on photocopiers to avoid the need for seperate print release stations by each printer.
