Hmm, the HP toners still look quite expensive, when compared to some of the Brother ones that we buy. I'll look into getting the 05X ones ordered in future...

We've got a P2055DN and I've recently gone off it after realising how low the toner yield is and the cost for original toners!! We're getting through a toner every 2 weeks!

We have the same issue. We've got around 300 computers, but they won't all be in use at once. RM are aware of this issue and apparently the workaround is to install the Smartcache tracker application on all of the computers and disable AD. I believe it's only affecting boxes that are using the AD authentication.

Somebody came to me with a similar problem, I advised they install Recuva - Undelete, Unerase, File and Disk Recovery - Free Download , format the disk and then recover the files from the formatted disk. They got most/all of the files back

You could build your own, Chenbro make some nice ITX cases for this purpose (Chenbro Micom Co., Ltd.). 4x 3.5" drives and a 2.5" drive.

Yes. You could just wire 13a plugs on the end. You might have a problem getting a 13a plug to fit due to the gauge or wire so it might be easier to get some adapters like a 13a -> 16a and a 13a -> 32a.

Depending on the make/model of your servers you might be able to get rack mounting kits for them. I know that some of the HP and Dell tower servers have rack mounting kits available.

I haven't done it with Virtual Box, only VMware. When you are configuring the vm properties, do you set the OS type as Windows Vista 32bit?

When I build a CC4 client in a virtual machines I had to set the guest OS type as Vista 32bit. I understand that this is because the WinPE bit of the build requires the VistaPE drivers.

We've had computers from Centerprise and Stone computers, they both have been fine and provide good pricing and support. I've had quotes from Orchid and but not bought anything from them yet. You can download the database management system installer from the website of the people that make it... You could also restore the database from an early backup of when your server was running well. However, I strongly recommend against attempting to do either of these.

I think it's around £35 per staff for the standard desktop pack which gives you Office, Windows and the core CAL suite (Windows server, Exchange, Lync, SCCM, Sharepoint and Forefront). Alternatively you can just license Office for ~£17 per staff and Windows for ~£13 per staff. You can add on extra licenses to your agreement also, not sure if the TS CALs fall under that category? Insight and RM were very helpful at providing us info and quotes for us.

Most staff have aronund 800MB-1GB. The problem with staff laptops is that they take them home, treat them as personal laptops and put all their personal music/photos on. I've been telling them not to and deleted a load of music last week (no complaints yet >). Some staff have huge .pst files so I end up increasing their quotas. I keep telling them that they don't need 8GB of emails!!
