We don't give teachers laptops. We have a few laptops around in school for presentation setups, use in the hall, exams etc. We keep a couple that can be borrowed when needed.

We ditched RS Admissions in the last couple of years in favour of iSAMS for all of our admissions data. We've had iSAMS create some custom reports for us but also written many in house using SSRS. I think iSAMS should really include a few more reports as standard.

I've used JPSL Technical Services for a few installs and also for just supplying equipment. Very helpful and do a good job.

Houses are usually single phase.. Are you sure you've not been using them on different ring mains/circuits in a house?

We've used some of the Liny VGA/audio switch boxes for Apple TVs without any issues. The computers have 2 graphics outputs, one to the monitor, one to the VGA switch. Are you using some sort of VGA splitter? Is it powered? Are you splitting the output from the Lindy VGA switch or splitting the output from the PC?

I temporarily used an RM One with an Intel DQ67OW motherboard (6 SATA ports), hooked up 4 4TB drives to make a temporary RAID array to copy some backups to. The files were copying at over 100MB/s maxing out either it's onboard Intel NIC or the NIC in the other server. I don't think having a dedicated RAID controller in this scenario would have given better performance.

I thought we were bad with around 60 networked printers and 50 local USB printers. We only have around 600 pupils from nursery-sixth form!!

We have some LED fixtures in our hall but mainly for effect and colours. They're 42W each. 1x 650w fresnel does a much better job at illuminating a person than a bunch of these so that's what we would use. Take the side off the machine, short the jumper on the motherboard to clear the CMOS settings.

Sorry, can't be of any help as we're up North. The Pro and AC UniFi access points are 802.3af POE compliant so any regular switches are fine. All UniFi access points support radius and guest authentication. At least we've not had any issues with them.

I can't tell you why it's better to use a single cat5e or two cat5e cables but I can say we use a few kits that use a single cable and work fine. We use a few of the cheap Pro Signal kits from CPC, 1:1, 1:2 and 1:4 kits. We've bought some Iiyama IPS panels with 6 points of touch. They're really smart and have a very crisp image. Just recently got an ELO screen but not really had much time to play around with it. Both screens weight a tonne!!

If you plug a normal microphone in to one of the mic inputs, are you able to pan left and right to confirm that the left and right speakers/amp channels are working and they're wired up correctly?

In the top left of the black window do you see a Install Microsoft Silverlight button? That's all we see with IE, tried a local install of Silverlight, reinstalling etc but no luck. Micro Librarian weren't helpful at all either.

The new Casio Ultra Short Throw isn't too much more over the cost of an Epson. If you were going for UST I'd definitely recommend the Casio XJ-UT310WN.
