I don't think it would lead to considerably more damage to the wildlife and countryside. The youths go out 'wild' camping, lighting fires in the woods, leaving empty cans and rubbish behind at the minute. The people that want to legally be able to wild camp are the ones that would tidy up after themselves and leave no mess behind.

I'm in the same situation. Rebuilt some machines as 64bit, including the one connected to a ClassBoard Touch. I forgot how much fun I had getting it to work with 7 32 bit. If anybody has a 64bit driver I'd be very appreciative!

Do you use Google Apps? I believe it has a MDM bit that you can use to set restrictions on Android devices. Unfortunately Meraki System Manager doesn't have many restrictions that can be applied to Android. It's great for iOS though.

Left handed here (for most things). I use a mouse with my right hand though. Probably because computers are laid out with keyboard then mouse on the right. And the first computer I used had a mouse shaped for right handed use:

We broke up 2 weeks ago, and there's plenty of milk in the fridges! Things are going well apart from.. Contractors turning off the power to buildings without informing us knocking out internet and telephones across the site! Summer school in using computers etc so we can't down bits of the network or upgrade IT suites.

The 24 port HP 1810-24G is fanless, I think the 48 port model might have fans though.

One of my suppliers could do them for somewhere nearer £1000 when I enquired. When you factor in the warranty, very low maintenance and power savings I'd say they work out around the same if not better than the Epson UST projectors. From what I understand the uptake has been very slow and Casio are keep to get more out there.

Sorry, that figure was inc VAT as we pay VAT. Our last batch of PCs were just under £500, AIO type things, 4th gen i3, 120GB SSD, 8GB RAM, 22" monitor and a 5 year warranty. Also, as an independent school we might not be able to get the MS Shape the Future licensing.

I get what you're all saying that for a small number (~20) of devices we'd probably be better off with fat clients, but the PCs are not in use all day everyday, so spending ~£600 per PC for a fast PC that boots up/logs on in less than a minute seems like a waste Quite a bit of negativity towards the use of PC hardware for the RDS servers.The inspiration came from here Custom RemoteFX RDS Farm – The Intro | my world of IT his results looked quite good, each PC could host around 6-12 sessions depending on usage.

Hi all! We're looking to replace some computers in our primary school and are considering replacing them with thin clients. They will be additional computers in classrooms and aren't connected to IWBs or other peripherals. One of the reasons for looking at thin clients is for a more 'instant-on' setup where they could be turned on and students logged on in <1 minute. We would need to be able to deliver a good user experience, including the playback of full screen flash video (YouTube etc). We'd like to use standard RDS on 2008 R2 servers at the back-end. Would a couple of desktops with latest gen i7's, 12GB RAM and a few SSDs in RAID1 or 10 cope? Are there any particular make/models of thin client that you'd recommend for this sort of use that we could look into further and get some demo units of? Thanks in advance! I quite like the Sahra wall plate connection boxes 1770005 - SAHARA - WALL BOX WITH AV CONNECTORS | CPC (also available with cables). The cables all hang down so less strain on them and less likely to get damaged, inside the box it's all pass-through connectors so just buy the length of leads you'd like pre-made and no need to worry about soldering.
