At my last school we had a Riso HC5500. It was big, but it was very fast (up to 115ppm) and cheap to run, especially colour. Didn't have any issues with the driver in our Windows environment.

We order quite a few things from Ebuyer here. Often the delivery is by Yodel. Never had any problems.

I used to drink coffee and was fine, then a few years ago during a quiet spell at school the coffee intake increased slightly... I started having heart palpitations, wasn't particularly pleasant. Went to see the doctor and they said to reduce the caffeine so I went decaf and was fine. More recently I've swapped to green tea and am feeling better for it

I noticed the same problem today when using the Smoothwall BYOD Radius authentication.

I've got a little 12.5" Samsung 400B2B laptop. SSD (not standard), 8GB RAM, i3/i5 (don't think they make an i7), VGA and HDMI out. I think the only bit of your criteria it doesn't meet is the screen resolution.

JPSL Technical Services have done our AV install in our chapel and a few other bits in our assembly hall. Good quality work and pricing is pretty competitive.

One way I've found to do it is to add this line to your RDP file "enablecredsspsupport:i:0". This won't work if your RDS server requires NLA.

I had the opposite! I was after a HDMI connector thing for one of those boxes. CPC sold the boxes, but said they were no longer going to stock the little HDMI connector Rang Sahara and they said I could only get it through a reseller... Eventually found one and ended up paying around £15 for it!!

On the contrary we've only had 1 fail in over a year of using them. We've got close to 100 on our site.

If you wish to use the standard UAPs, UAP-LRs etc (basically, all but the Pro and AC models) with a 802.3af switch then you can purchase in-line adapters that convert it to passive PoE. We use the standard UAPs, ProCurve PoE switches and these adapters work fine. Ubiquiti Instant 802.3af Indoor Adapter

We've got a few of the 2520-24G-PoE and more recently some 2530-24G-PoE switches (from @Millgate). They're great, not had a problem with them, powering VOIP phones and wireless access points. I wouldn't have said they were that noisy.

The RM boards are re-branded Interwrite boards. I tried to get some replacement nibs for pens but RM couldn't supply any. Bit annoying really when Promethean supply packs of 100 nibs for their pens.

We're using a couple of Samsung 840 SSDs in an old RM (Intel based) server with a LSI SAS/SATA RAID card. It's running an RDS VM for a few thin clients. Not had any problems with it in the few months it's been running. Might look to use the Samsung 840 Pro drives if we do this again.

Are you referring tot he Ubiquiti NanoStation PTP kit? They would work fine for this purpose and sit in the unlicensed bands.

We use Ubiquiti UniFi for our managed wireless in school and have a few of their NanoStations devices for point-point and point-multipoint links around the site. Works great, we have access points and VOIP phones on the other end of the links working fine. Admittedly our links aren't the longest of distances, the longest probably being less than 500m (with a few trees in between).

We have around 90 APs in a school with ~650 pupils. The school consists of quite a few large older buildings. We could do with a few more APs in some areas still.

We've had issues getting parts for RM computers that are only just out of warranty also. RM couldn't sell us parts, but they have parts for warranty repairs. Our account manager managed to get us extended warranties so we could then get a warranty repair.

I'd definitely steer away from using their networking gear in a business environment. We have a couple of their PoE injectors to power some phones but there isn't really anything to go wrong with a PoE injector! At home I've used one of their 802.1n (TL-WA901ND) wireless access points and it has been solid. Can't fault it.

I have a Virgin Superhub. Then it's just computers and phones etc. 2006 era desktop as a HTPC connected to a TV. Late 2009 Mac Mini 2006/7 HP laptop (I keep telling myself that I'll replace it but it keeps going!) Samsung Q1 Ultra UMPC HTC Desire mobile phone.
