  1. Sad news.. Is it pronounced Gif or Gif?
  2. New task. Some software asks for permission from an admin accounts but others dont.. Any ideas?
  3. Good point. Its more of a want than a need. Looking for something free. We only have around 50 users here
  4. Hey all, Im trying to find a way for users to be able to install software from a pre approved list. When i worked for a Uni, we had a list on our start menu with a list of software users can install from. Eg i want to install... VLC. The user would open the list and click to install it from the network. No admin rights needed. Im looking for a free/built in or opensource way of doing this. Anyone know? Thanks in advance.
  5. Try, https://discord.gg/3dp Thats where i go for help
  6. try @VeryPC, This is right up their street
  7. Exa networks dark fibre. 300mb both ways with 8 IP's for £300 a month. Only been "iffy" once in the last 3 years. Hopefully when it comes to contract renewal time we get more speeds. We are on a 10GB bearer though so its an easy upgrade.
  8. Afternoon, After a hour of downtime due to Sophos support. We are looking for a UK support team that will take over the contract. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance
  9. We have been trying to email a cusomter of ours and we kept getting bounce backs. Checked their website and seems to be down. For some reason i checked on my phone with no wifi and worked. Dropped them an email asking why our IP is blocked and what we can do it remove it. They keep telling me i need to have services with them for them be able to help us. Complete joke. This is the 3rd time i have to explain to them im not a customer. Hello, Thank you for contacting UK2.net Support! Unfortunately, we cannot unblock your IP address unless we can ave someverification that you have your services with us for security purposes. You canverify yourself via the methods we had previously stated. i.e. your telephonesupport pin or the last 4 digits of a card you may have used to make apurchase. Once this is done, we can unblock the IP and progress on troubleshootingyour issue. As always, please feel free to let me know if you have any questions orconcerns and I will be able to assist.
  10. Yeah, noticed the post today @DJ-1701 Still waiting for this statement and how they are going to stop it happening in the future.
  11. E_G_R2, Its been up and down all day. Internet usage is fine for us. Just VoIP from Gamma.
  12. I think your just trying to split hairs now. End of the day with Exa supplying schools and private sectors and there will be a good chance of a DDOS attack. All im trying to say is now is the time to look at how to "Prevent" these hitting the customers.
  13. But there are systems on the market that prevent these things. As i stated before, this day in age DDOS is an everyday thing. CityFibre/Exa should take a step back and look at the pro/cons of the system. Its like not having a firewall, Its fine until it all goes wrong.
