The keyboard is a right pain to replace on the g7. Basically you have to take all the components off the motherboard, then swap keyboard and put back on. Probably about 1hr

there is a piece of software called Duet Display that will do this for you https://www.duetdisplay.com/. A bit glitchy but it does the job. You will need to pay for it though

Once configured with Jamf School- (others are available) you just put the wifi in and the rest is history No need for charge and Sync anymore as everything is done over the air with modern MDM The trollies/Carts will thus be less expensive
