What AD to Azure AD syncing do you do? You need AD Connect set to sync with 'SSO'. You then also need to set some IE security zones (See from Step 3 below) https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/hybrid/how-to-connect-sso-quick-start

I was replacing a Ruckus system and for the most part just swapping them over. I used the old Ruckus AP mounts, some spacers, then the Unifi plastic mount, nuts on the bottom and that's it.

Not had experience with Konica in the last 5 years or so but before that there were very good. Not had any experience of them on heavier work loads mind, the ones I saw where in primary schools so got pretty light use.

@smarties11 A lot of schools, us included set the lobby to 'Only Me'. Meaning students enter the lobby before being admitted to the lesson. Without this, students can join a live lesson without a teacher being present. This then means it's not recorded and they can do what they want without teacher supervision. So with the lobby set to 'Only Me'. Staff are having to check the full class in lobby, admitting one by one in case one of those waiting is a guest. We don't use the 'Meet Now' option as students don't get invited, we want all staff to plan live lessons ahead of time so students know to join. I can see that using the 'Meet Now' helps with them not being able to join ahead of time, meaning you don't need a lobby, but for us it meant students didn't know if the lesson was going ahead or not.

As long as you have a emergency 'break glass' on each door your still compliant even if it's your server on fire. We have these which are monitored by the Net2 controller. If someone uses this break glass it sounds an alarm on the door (Built in to the break glass) but also emails our site team (Me included) and our student support team. We monitor when students leaving during lesson was well using a reader on each side with an alert to student support. So the break glass is the same in case they use that to exit rather than their card. We've had the system in place 4 years I think it is now, we've only ever had LA cleaners uses those break glass buttons because they would forget their ID!

Yes touch screens all round, only place projectors are still useful are school halls. Even then LED walls are coming down in price. DT is expecially good place for a touchscreen as projectors love to eat the dust in the room. Yes the touchscreen will do the same overtime but it shouldn't affect it as much until thermals are a problem.

No, I just purchased the best value boards at the time of replacement. We've been replacing boards yearly over the last 5 years and this year will be the last few rooms. The only rooms which this hasn't been applied in are Maths who 'MUST' use ActivInspire. So the additional cost for Promethean boards has come from them to make it fair to other departments. For everyone else, it's just a touch display and any make will do.

My understand is the Paxlock does comply if your leaving the room (No card required), but doesn't if entering as although Paxton can be linked to the fire alarm, the wireless link isn't considered safe enough to make sure the door is unlocked if it needs to be used in a fire. Leaving the room however is as it doesn't stop people in this direction.

You also have to think about fire regs with Paxlock, as it only complies one direction (from memory). For classroom doors I don't suspect this will be an issue but if you have any classrooms which have fire exits out them, you might want to check your fire routes don't require people to use the door to then use the fire exit in the classroom.

Wouldn't an Android phone work? We're an Office 365 school so I don't know much about Google Meet, but with Teams you can join the meeting from a phone (Expected) but also present your camera as if it was a desktop screen. So it uses the rear camera and puts everyone in to presenter view so they can see it full screen.

Look at Mail Flow rules in Exchange Admin centre, that should do what you want.

I know this might sound mad, but try plugging the PC directly in to the switch. Ideally by a new patch lead. This might mean you have to move it, but see if that solves it. That might point to bad cabling leading to bad communication which means the tree-spanning can't confirm the port is not looped quick enough.

No it doesn't offer that. Hence the uservoice above I linked too. Although it does look like Microsoft already have plans to put something in place for it using bigjb Roadmap link above.

You see now your asking. I seem to remember following a guide on how to set it up, but I can't remember if they provided that script or if I came up with it. It's quite sometime ago. Did it work for you or not? I might be completely wrong in needing that, I just know my setup works and this is what I have as part of MDT. No idea if it's surplus to requirements as I've never tried it without it.

I've done that, I've got access that's fine. The problem is I've given a couple of our staff access to view it, but they teach classes so they just see a list of there classes. There doesn't seem to be a way to change Insights to see the school view.

If you want a staff member who's already got classes to see the school wide view, can you? As currently they just get a list of their classes.

A bit more power needed for today's icy conditions. Even then, the locos spent a lot of time spinning wheels. Fun had and back inside now to warm up. That is one negative about a garden railway, your at the mercy of the weather conditions.

It's very difficult, I must admit but there isn't much money in railways these days, especially model passengers. They just don't want to pay up for a ride!

The steam loco's are exactly that, live steam. This one is butane gas fired but I also have some real coal fired locos. The diesels outline locos we have are battery electric powered. Track wise, we just trim a few plants but most are slow growing and that's about it really. No track power to worry about, which is why we can have fun in the snow.
