Put the driver in the MDT Drivers root, re-built the image but still no luck. Does anyone know of a way of seeing what drivers are in the boot image? To confirm it's injected it correctly?

I'm pretty sure it's injecting any network or storage driver from any folder with how I have it setup. However I'll do a test by importing it in to the root and re-building the MDT boot image.

So I tried exporting the LAN driver from the pre-installed VeryPC image and replacing the new driver I downloaded in MDT. Re-built the image and tried again...same result. Hmmm, this really stumping me now.

For cutting the plug off? Never had a problem with our warranty. You often get a euro style cable so we often use that for the fused spur. You do have to be careful with mounting them above radiators. We have a few like that and have installed a narrow shelf below to stop the heat going up the back of the screen.

Power, HDMI and USB. That one doesn't have a divider in it but they don't twist around each other in that short length. Well, I've not had any problems anyway but that doesn't mean to say you won't of course.

If it's a new build, you could go with in wall conduit down to the dado trunking. Brush faceplate on the top and enter in to the Dado at the bottom. No surface trunking needed up to the display. Just plan your wall mount carefully when placing the conduit behind it. We had some new classrooms done this way a year or two ago. Made sure the timber frame they built it out of had extra cross supports which lined up with our wall mounts we purchased for the job.

Yer, except we do it central otherwise it would upset my OCD. This is one we fit last year in a science room. The wall needed completely re-painting but for the short term we just did a section, hence why it looks a little odd.

Depends a lot on the wall mount used, but often the screens have a indent or slimmer section at the bottom and sides (Or somethings just one side where the AV enters). However you'd need to space it off the wall to have a plug in to a Dado socket, as you have the Dado itself, the plug socket faceplace and then your plug. Plus how do you unplug it for PAT testing or replacement without removing the screen. Personally, we go with smaller mini trunking up behind the base of the screen. With the power cable, HDMI and USB in this mini trunking. Ideally with a central spine to stop them crossing over but for that short a length it's not the end of the world. Then the power cable goes in to a fused spur below the screen. PAT test wise you still need to do it (Although hardly anyone does) but the risk factor of damage to the cable which is in trunk or behind a display means you can do it every 3 or 5 years*. Otherwise you end up causing damage just to test for faults, caused by you testing it! *Disclaimer, PAT testing is a very hot topic and every school should do there own risk assessment.

Well restarting the WDS service didn't work. Damn

I'm not even getting to install the image, just booting the MDT WinPE environment it's failing on. MDT is set to import all network drivers to the boot image. You are right, I've using the DriverSet001 variable for the install itself. The only thing I've not tried is restarting the WDS service, so I'll give that a try now.

Hi All, I have a problem imaging a new machine, and not just any machine either. My brand new workstation I've been waiting for for ages! I've downloaded all the drivers for the motherboard (This is a custom build from @VeryPC) and imported them in to MDT. I've then re-built my MDT boot image so the network drivers are injected and imported that in to WDS. However when I boot the image from PXE on the PC itself I get a driver missing error for the network adapter. I've checked the driver INF file and the device ID shown including revision is listed as supported. MDT shows the driver is injected in to the boot image as well. I've checked there's no duplicate driver with the same name in MDT (We put drivers in to make and model folders). So I'm a bit at a lost, I've re-built the MDT boot image as well just to be sure it's injecting the driver correctly rather than simply adding it later. Is there anyway in Windows PE to get a list of drivers MDT has? Or see why it didn't load the driver? I'm a bit at a lost as to what to try next. Thanks, Rob

No chance of having it installed in the building but in a window which can be seen from outside? You see this with a lot of shops etc.

If you use 'Known Folder Move' they will point to the OneDrive folder on the location machine, with Documents, Pictures etc sub folders from OneDrive. So if you've migrated files, they won't notice anything any different.

Have you had a look at HDBaseT? It's HDMI over CAT5/6 but can also transfer IR and Network over the same cable. We use it for our hall rear projection system. It's built in to the projector end and we have a couple of transmitters meaning we can send video from the front of the hall or back. Having the remote work from the back of the hall is very handy.

Ahhh. Now you see as I support them remotely I took there word they didn't have it. That would explain it failing the media check. Let me ask that.

The issue of joining as a guest from a phone (I understand it's iOS and Android) Microsoft do know about. I have a support ticket open and they did say an update for it but they've now told me it's been delayed. I'm waiting to get a new date from them.

Hi All, A school I support has got the HP 250 G7 laptops from the DFE scheme. They are trying to image them with USB to ether adapters we already have (Lenovo ones if I remember right). These PXE boot laptops we purchased them for before so we know they do support that. However we're always getting the media check failed message on these HPs. We know the cable is fine as it boots WDS on another laptop without issue. Has anyone managed to image these HPs? If so, with what settings in BIOS or what USB adapter? Thanks, Rob

Could well be factory B grade stock being used to build them up. To be fair, I've found them OK for what they are. Not something I'd buy and I don't think they'll last long, but not really bad. Other than the charger, that looks very cheap.
