We have them down the outside and middle row facing each other. They just turn 90 degrees to see the board. Wide desks (900mm in our case) means you can put the PC back and have enough room for a book etc if required. We have rooms for 30 setup like this with a 65" display. I'd say 70" plus now for 30 and larger for 30+ students.

Check you don't have any fine-grained password policy's.

Pretty much as above until we opted to try the 4K route. Got a AOC u32e2n for just over £300 (Thanks to VeryPC). Currently more cost than two displays plus a stand, but less cabling and two extra Full HD displays on top with be being 4K. Takes a bit to get used too but I can see this being a good option going forward especially as prices are going to drop more and more on 4K or larger displays. I wouldn't go smaller than 32" though otherwise scaling means your loosing to much screen space to make it worth it.

Your support team have already replied to my ticket confirming you know of the issue and are working on it. I just hope it's resolved soon as staff are getting tired of performance issues this term. Thank you.

Also seeing performance issues here. Expected when Bromcom are onboarding so many I guess but they need to get on top of it quick as it's damaging with staff commenting how Bromcom is slower than SIMS.

I use Xibo but most of the content is pulled from our school website which staff can contribute too (Via approval by the head).

No software in 2022 should require local admin rights. It's a huge security concern and with schools being targeted, it's not a risk we can take.

You have four corners as well which on a large 4K display at 100% scaling gives you four FHD monitors on one. I admit though it's not as easy to use as multiple monitors.

Yes I can see it's slightly hard to put windows side by side, but Windows 10 does have this covered with the snap to edge feature, just might require a bit of training.

Hi All, We're going to be purchasing a couple more office PC's and currently we go for dual 22" 1080p monitors for office use, however I'm thinking that Ultrawide or high resolution monitors might be the way forward now providing a cleaner and easier to maintain setup. However I'm unsure what ratio, screen size and resolution to go for. I was thinking direct replacement, so 2x1920 but that makes for a very wide monitor and seems rare, thus high costs. 4K monitors seem the cheapest option currently but with a 16:9 ratio, can you really get two windows next to each other nicely on a 4K display? I guess it depends on scaling a lot. 2560 x 1440 seems like a middle ground but then you have 1280 per window. Have others put in office PC's and monitors recently? What did you opt for? Thanks, Rob

The area I'm talking about is 'Packaged app Rules' rather than 'Executable Rules' as your screenshot is of above. So first check so see what AppLocker rules your enforcing by going to AppLocker in the side navigation and clicking on 'Configure rule enforcement'. You should have a window like this and see if your enforcing 'Packaged app Rules' If your enforcing the rules, you need to have the following default rules in 'Packaged app Rules'.

Are you working in the 'Executable Rules' area rather than 'Packaged app Rules' area? You should have two default rules in that area of: 'Allow - Everyone - Everyone Microsoft Corporation' & 'Allow - Everyone - Everyone Microsoft Windows'

From memory if your blocking 'Packaged apps' in App Locker then the Start Menu is classed as one. I think it's 'Start Menu Experience' or something like that.

Have a look or even better email this lot: York AV Ltd Might not have what you want, but they've done some very nice wall plates for us and customer service was very good.

I favourite thing to say is 'Log me a ticket, otherwise I'll forget to do it as someone else will grab me before I get chance to look at it'. If they don't log the ticket, it doesn't get done. A helpdesk is a MUST for IT support. If anyone complains, you have your helpdesk to fall back on. It either wasn't on there, or it was but you had 10 other things that were higher priority to deal with. It's evidence either way.

Look at a S2D setup (Storage Spaces Direct). Go with SSD's for cache then HDD's if you have a lot of storage. Hyper-V then works pretty much as it does now for you, just working off the shared storage space generated between your two servers. Put a DC locally hosted on each host server just in case the Shared Storage needs to contact the DC before starting. You likely only need two DC's anyway.

Removed WSUS here and went to WUfB and Update Compliance (Which you can still use with WSUS by the way, it's just cloud monitoring). We already had an account with Azure with invoicing setup for backups so that made creating the log workspace or what ever they call it setup.

Create a staff team in Microsoft Teams, then schedule it on that?
