Hi All, We have some of our class teams set so that Channel Moderation is enabled with only Team Owners able to post. This then normally means that meetings made in this channel will also follow this rule for the meeting chat. Which is why you don't get the option to enable or disable chat in the 'Meeting Options' as you do for a non-channel connected meeting. However it doesn't appear to be working for us, so I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this in Office 365? I'm likely to log a support case with Microsoft for it, but I already have a few open which I'm waiting on calls for so I don't want to log another one just yet, so I thought I'd ask on here. If it's a VM can you move it to local storage on a host and see if it's the same?

We have a school mostly full with then and they are very good. Just need to keep the fans clean but that applies or pretty much all PCs. Plus @VeryPC are a very good company for looking after you, from sales through to support. I often find you get forgotten about once the machines are onsite and support is disconnected from sales, with VeryPC you can tell they communicate when needed.

If you talking about the 'SharePoint Shortcut' rather than syncing a document library, then your just seeing what's in the document library. If you delete the user account it won't delete the files/folder as it's saved on the document library, not the users OneDrive. If you sync a document library, again your just seeing a cached version of the document library. Nothing but the local cache is lost if the user is deleted, the data in the shared document library remains.

You can configure Group Policy to sync libraries for your users as well. Although it does take a little while to apply.

Yes, I maybe should have added you want to turn it back on once you have Office 365 rolled out.

Just to add, the issue is OneDrive thinks it should be syncing the files and Office 2016 thinks it should be. So you end up with sync issues and conflicts. What can help as a stop gap while you deploy Office 365 is unticking 'Use Office applications to sync Office files that I open' in OneDrive>Settings>Office

Seen this one a machine we have but I'm afraid I don't have an answer either as yet. It only seems to happen every month or evening two months for us.

We use Rentention policies as our primary method of protecting data in Office 365. However we also use a Synology NAS to backup all of Office 365 locally which only runs once a week. The rest of the week its turned off so its an offline backup.

Yes, it's syncing student and staff data from Bromcom via Wonde. Yes to Google SSO although I've not used it of course, but it is an option.

Just started using Libresoft here and it links to Wonde which syncs with Bromcom, so no issue there. We're also trailing the Office 365 SSO login as well with them which is 'Beta' but it's working. We use Paxton Net2 Desktop reader with the keyboard output. So students ID cards are 'Barcodes' in Libresoft but as far as Libresoft are concerned, it's just an ID number typed in. Barcode reader is used to read the book barcode.

Yes, moved from replication on the old servers (Unmatched hardware) to a S2D full SSD setup. Big thanks to @ICTDirect_Dave for sorting us out with refurb hardware which was able to run S2D. We're mostly cloud based now, especially for storage so while I normally avoid refurb (Sorry Dave) I felt it wasn't worth the expense of new servers when I hope in 5 years time they'll be switched off and not replaced.

S2D is far better than replication, not only in features it offers but also redundancy. So if you have the funds go for that!

Microsoft Flow can do this too. We use it to export school policies automatically ready for the website. Now just need to get it to replace them on the website!

All our user storage apart from a 100Mb share (Yes, I did use the default quota in FSRM for this) which is required for our 20 year old secure data transfer programme our LA insist on still using. Plus local storage for apps, MSI's etc. All other user storage is in Office 365 in OneDrive, Teams & SharePoint. Local server wise we have a S2D host setup and one physical DC (Which I'll remove soon I'm sure as we have a VM DC on one host, and another ready on the other). It's mainly for running Papercut, SCCM (Slowly moving to Intune), AD Connect and DCs. Hardly gets any stick and the aim is for it to be replaced in 5 years time with a smaller setup, or just directly to core switches for DHCP & DNS. Main thing we're waiting on now is a cloud version of Papercut which is being worked on but I'm told not ready yet for education.
