I to would suggest Unifi for edge switches. Yes you don't get the warranty but the price is 1/2, sometimes 1/3 of the price. Keep some spare and swap if they fail. As we all know, heat is the killer of any electronic device (If it's kept dry mind you, ha). So put the spare cash in to decent sized cabinets with good cable management & a UPS to smooth power supply.

Another vote for VeryPC and ICT Direct here for hardware (Plus a lot more in VeryPCs case). Broadband wise I could suggest Exa Education and I've heard Wave9 gets good reviews as well but not used them myself.

First you want to confirm your existing AP is from the Unifi family from Ubiquiti, if it is, have a look here as you need to setup a Wireless Uplink (Known as a mesh setup as well) so the AP can connect back to the existing one wirelessly. Yes run this and no error is shown so I'm assuming it's running. The CAU Computer account and administrator account we use (We don't use the default one) are in local admins. What I don't get is why is it not failing to connect to the other node? Why only itself? Does it not check the other one or is that working? Odd.

I'm trying to get Cluster Aware Updating to work on my two node cluster but I can't seem to get the 'Windows PowerShell remote should be enabled on each failover cluster node' to pass the check. Running the Test-CauSetup command in PowerShell shows me two error messages as follows: WARNING: Connecting to remote server SRV-HOST-B failed with the following error message : Access is denied. So it's failing to connect back to itself from what I can see. Running it on the other cluster node results in the same issue, failed to connect to itself. All I can find online is making sure the firewall rule for 'Remote Shutdown Group' which is 'Inbound Rule for Remote Shutdown' looks to be correct and surely it shouldn't impact a loopback to itself? Any more ideas, I've tried quite a few already and it's the same error each time, so I don't seem to be affecting it in anyway. Thanks, Rob

I'd state a TPM as well, maybe even number of USBs and display output (Digital ones and VGA if you need it). Also state you need PXE bootable BOIS. I've purchased HP laptops before and they didn't support it, HP said it was only supported on 'X' product line which was £150 more for the same spec.

Veeam for server Cluster VMs (Free edition), Windows Backup for Local VM's & File (Apps only) Server (Also covered by Veeam) and Synology Active Backup for Office 365. I've always thought that multiple backups in multiple programs is a safeguard against that one bit of software making a pigs ear of it, either on backup or restore.

Maybe there's to camps, ones who watch the bank balance who are adjusting now, and ones who don't until the credit card bills and loan reminders arriving in the post in September. Plenty of people are still trying to board plans so there's clearly some demand there.

My feeling is a lot of people are going to continue to enjoy a COVID 'free' summer and not worry about finances. They'll continue to work part time and business will be short staffed. However, come autumn things will change, people will have an empty bank account (Likely a lot of loans too) and they'll start to do more hours, take on a second job and roles will be filled again. A think a lot of people just want to enjoy a 'normal' summer.

Be careful when comparing fans not to go off ma ratings, modern fans will be more efficient (Well you'd hope so) and depends on static pressures etc. So look CFM and any pressure figures as well and compare to your existing fans. You can compare noise as well doing this to make sure your lowering the db and not just replacing one noisy fan with another.

What power supply powers the fans? My first thought would be to drop to 12V with the existing fans. See if they provide enough cooling and they might even be quiet enough without having to change the fans themselves. We're fully OneDrive & Teams (SharePoint) storage here. Using Known Folder Redirection to OneDrive and Automatically syncing SharePoint Libraries for our main departments (Which are MS Teams). Only thing to keep an eye on is local storage. Microsoft Storage Sense can help but also you need to be deleting local profiles to stop OneDrive from filling the local SSDs with cached copies of files.

I've had this before when you have multiple versions of the ActivDriver installed especially on the older serial boards. You can test this by asking staff not to use right click on the pen. It shouldn't then swap. Remove all ActivDriver versions from the affected PC. Restart and make sure mouse buttons are correct. Install the latest version for the board (The older boards can't use latest version from memory)

Do you have Promethean boards by any chance? Especially the older ones.

I moved from Kerbros authentication for replication to certificate based. Solved the majority of my replication issues. Moved to 2 node cluster now but replication is a good measure if you can't run a cluster.

I did get the database backed up thanks to @dmj but I've not been able to copy it off the SD card and Zabbix-Server won't stop (Command just hangs). I'll keep the SD card safe while I get a new OS installed on an SSD, then see if I can copy the database backup off the SD card. Worth a go.
