  1. Hi All, What do you guys do about filtering CDN sites/categories in your Content Filter? We're using Smoothwall. Do you unblock URLs in a custom category as and when they become and issue or do you allow the category as a whole through? Cheers
  2. There are lots of different sizes in this range: https://cpc.farnell.com/duratool/d03135/water-resistant-case-610x430x310mm/dp/SG33495 I think they're great and a lot cheaper than Peli's.
  3. Thanks for the pointers, there's some interesting products there. We're currently thinking about 3d printing our own enclosures. I'll report back with our progress!
  4. Thanks, I'll definitely do some testing with this before rolling out properly
  5. I have thought about these as we already have some installed around school, but I don't think we'll get the hub inside.
  6. Hi All, We're in the planning stages at the moment and are looking to remove classroom PCs in favour of staff laptops. we're nearly in the position where all staff have a USB-C capable laptop and we're hoping to allow staff to plug in a single USB-C cable into their laptop which will then connect them to the room projector, speakers, network and power. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to neatly contain a USB-C dock/hub and the relevant connections on a wall so that staff don't get tempted to unplug the cables from the dock? I'm thinking a wall mounted box that presents the single cable. Many thanks, Pete
  7. Hi All, I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for helpdesk solutions that also link to asset management? AD link and maybe even mobile app/webpage use for easy auditing would be great too? Anyone know of a solution that ticks these boxes? Pete
  8. +1 for Bodet and it can be justified financially as it is a lockdown system too.
  9. Thanks, I saw this thread but wanted to see if anyone had real life recommendations
  10. Hi All, Does anyone have any recommendations for a Windows equivalent of Garageband? Pete
  11. We've been using Samsung consumer TVs nonstop for over 2 years and have had no issues - We figured that the cost of digital signage screens is far more than just replacing a screen if it fails. Had no evidence of screen burn on LED screens too http://www.edugeek.net/forums/av-multimedia-related/175672-xibo-how-we-do-signage.html#post1505121

  13. Possibly me? We're still adding more screens to our solution (currently on 14) and it seems to be working well. We've found that keeping it simple for the content creators works well. We have very little input with the content these days but its constantly changing and is looking good. We've also now created an Instagram feed that displays the latest post by either our Art department or Library - another way for them to post to one place but have content updating in several places. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/av-multimedia-related/175672-xibo-how-we-do-signage.html
  14. IP webcam perhaps? Used one here for 2 or 3 screen viewing and is simple to setup - essentially giving out an address and a login for the page.
  15. Here's how we do Xibo: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/av-multimedia-related/175672-xibo-how-we-do-signage.html
