Reports > School Report. Tick Pupil Numbers and Key Pastoral and then Generate. It provides a breakdown by Year Group rather than Reg Group though.

Modules > Assessment > Assessment Sheets List. Set Marksheet Type to Statutory Assessment and you may also have to set User Access to Admin. If no sheets are shown you will have to change the Active On day to a date in the 20/21 academic year.

It is very straightforward. You need to have SIMS Services Manager (SSM) installed on your SIMS server, and the SIMS Online Services package installed in SSM. You need an activation code from ESS SIMS to allow you to setup onboard the app and set up administrators. Administration is done via https://admin.sims.co.uk/ As part of the onboarding you get a key and code to enter into SIMS Online Services in SSM. Administrators can then access the admin portal to send email invites to parents/staff/students to register for the app. Obviously, they will need email addresses stored in SIMS. Parent App Lite allows parents to view and update their details, and the details of their child via the Parent App or https://sims-parent.co.uk. The change requests come into SIMS and then admins can decide whether or not to accept the changes. Hope that helps.

I think you may need the Multiple Timetable licence. https://support.capitasoftware.com/csm?sys_kb_id=6c0fbc6b1bf03050c65ba976b04bcb8d&id=kb_article_view&sysparm_rank=1&sysparm_tsqueryId=940395861b96f4d0c723edb2b24bcbce

[sims] Create Custom Report on selecting Pupils SIMS
ajp233 replied to knopfler's topic in MIS Systems
If you create the report in SIMS, without a filter so it includes all pupils, then Office Admin can preview the report, which will list all pupils, and then select the pupils not needed, and then click on Exclude before running the report -
[sims] Create Custom Report on selecting Pupils SIMS
ajp233 replied to knopfler's topic in MIS Systems
How are you recording the school fixture information in SIMS? When you create a student based report you can add in a name filter to run it for a specific student. Alternatively, by going into the pupil record, and clicking on the Reports link on the right hand side, you can the report you select, just for that student. -
It isn't currently possible to queue messages to be sent at a later time or date. At the time you want to send the message, you'll need to set it up and send it. You can only have one of each communication type in draft at a time. This is the same for all methods of sending communications through Arbor to staff, students or guardians or parents, including mail merge.

Yes - label the email columns howerver you want such as Email address - work And when using the import wizard in SIMS you have the option to specify if the column is for the Work or Home email, and whether to make it Main/Primary/Both
-
You can now import email addresses directly into SIMS without the use of patches. The routine is under Routines > Data In > Student Data > Import from Spreasheet. It is then just a matter of mapping columns in your spreadsheet to the relevant fields in SIMS.

You will need to make sure that on the server, there are no duplications of the SIMS shared folder. Only one SIMS shared folder should exist. In cases where there are two SIMS folders and one is a Sub folder of the other, you will need to check which of the folders holds the most up to date files and remove the duplicate. For instance D:\Simsapps\SIMS\SIMS Will need to be tidied up so that only one folder exists D:\Simsapps\SIMS In some cases, the SIMS .net client will be reading the SIMS .ini file from a location other than C:\Windows. If for instance C:\Windows\SIMS.ini has not had the required file permissions assigned, the operating system will often write a SIMS.ini file in to the Windows Virtual Store directory Clear the contents of VirtualStore 1) Browse to the following location (selecting your own user folder). C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore 2) Delete the contents of this folder.

SOLUS3.12.59.5 will be released by close of business on Friday 21st May 2021. Details about the change can be found below. What is the current situation? Following on from the change to the new SOLUS3 Package Server URL a few weeks ago, we would like to inform you of another required change that forms part of the separation from Capita. There is a URL change we need to implement, this time it is part of a minor update to the SOLUS3 application. To ensure that schools continue to receive updates to their SIMS systems via SOLUS3 we advise that the following activities take place in the following order: Approve the following URL for access via your internet filtering systems: Service (the old URL was Service) Once your firewalls have been updated, you are then advised to update SOLUS3 to version 3.12.59.5 which should be available by close of business 21st May 2021. Please keep an eye on updates to this article for a specific release date. When will I need to make the change by? The new URL is live and available now, this means that as soon as the update to SOLUS3 is released, as long as users have added the new URL to their white list, SOLUS3 will continue to work as normal. The old URL will remain in service until the end of August 2021. Customers therefore have a four month window to ensure that internet filtering systems are updated with the new URL and the update to SOLUS3 can be applied. The update to SOLUS3 will update the SOLUS3 service including each SOLUS3 Agent defined in the deployment environment. What is the impact for users of SOLUS3? The downloading of patches and updates via SOLUS3 may fail if the new URLs are not approved for access via internet filtering systems and the update to SOLUS3 not implemented. We are therefore recommending that customers add the new URLs Service to their whitelist before updating SOLUS3. You can find further information regarding SOLUS3 URLs within the following knowledge article KB0023674.

[sims] Nova-T6 Timetabling NC Years: error sending to SQL (unrecognised NC Year)
ajp233 replied to MkII's topic in MIS Systems
In your derived year, if you have put 6 in the NCYr column, when you send to SIMS it will correctly say that the year group associated with the derived year does not exist in the pastoral structure. You can either put 12 or 13 as the NCYear, or leave it blank. If left blank it will appear under Alternative Schemes in curriculum assignment. -
Assessment individual reports and Profile reports can be published to the SIMS Parent app providing they have been created and uploaded to the Students linked documents first. Once they are uploaded to the Students linked documents they can be published through Routines > SLG & SIMS Online > Publish Documents.
-
As you are changing the cycle (4 periods to 5 periods) you will need to 'Export Timetable Cycle to SQL' before 'Export Curriculum and Timetable to SQL'.
-
If you are changing the cycle...did you export the timetable cycle to SQL before sending the timetable across into SIMS?

[sims] How to import emailed patch to SOLUS for deployment?
ajp233 replied to coolhands's topic in MIS Systems
If you extract the .sql patch from the zip file you have been sent, you could perhaps schedule a commandline task to run with the following syntax: sqlcmd -S server\instance -d <> -U sa -P <> -i <> -
Go to Tools > Setups > User Options and set Screen Labels to SIMS default and click Save.
-
no problem admitting students early....you can always delete them if they don't turn up via Routines > Student > Delete Student
-
If you export the report from SIMS as a RptDef file, change the file extension to .zip and then you will be able to extract the Excel report template and modify the VBA.

Please note that you now need to whitelist http://s3dl.ess-solus.co.uk to download updates in SOLUS - the URL has changed.
-
My opinion would be to go with Arbor

Why are you banging on about UPN matching?? Even the government use it......schools can download statutory results from Key to Success by uploading the UPNs of pupils they have on roll.
