Pretty sure that if you create a report in SIMS to pull out that data, then the equivalent fields can be created in Bromcom. Once the fields have been created, go to the Student list page, select your pupils and then select Actions > Manual Data Export, set the data source to User Defined Fields and select a UDF and then click Export. This will generate a csv file in the correct format for re-importing. Open the csv file and populate with the info pulled from SIMS. You can then return to the Bromcom Student list page, select your students and then use Actions > Manual Data Import.

Hi @duesouth You can send the timetable across once the Curriculum model is completed. You need to make sure the Levels are correct in Tools > Assign Levels. There is no need to build the blocks. You can just send the timetable with the Model being completed. The new academic year has to be created in SIMS and once the timetable has been sent across you can then do the Pastoral Promotion to assign pupils to their year group for the new year. You can then begin to assign pupils to classes via Curriculum Assignment by Scheme.

I normally download the basedata from the different exam board websites and then extract the basedata into the Examin folder. You can then import the basedata in Exams Organiser via Focus > Basedata > right click on board name > Import Basedata. A2C should be configured so the Inbox points to the SIMS Examin folder, and the Outbox points to the Examout folder. Create entry marksheets in Exams Organiser and populate as required. Then you will create submission files in Exams Organiser, and those files will be placed in the Examout folder. You then use A2C to send the entry files to the exam boards.

If you have 3rd party software hooking into SIMS on the server, the installation of SIMS on the server may not have completed properly. It is best to turn off the 3rd party services, install SIMS and then restart the 3rd party services.

Are you using SOLUS? You can export the manual agent installer from SOLUS, install the SOLUS Agent on the laptop, and then add the laptop as a SIMS client in SOLUS. Alternatively, as long as the SIMS\Setups folder contains an up to date version of SIMSApplicationSetup.exe, you can run that on the laptop to install SIMS

Actually your original report will work as long as you untick 'Suppress duplicates' on the 'Define presentations' screen of the report designer

Do you need the report outputting multiple rows per student? If not you could use a student list report (Reports > Student List > General Student List), drag UPN onto it, change the Data Area to Academic, Curriculum and then drag onto the report 'Classes with Staff'??

If you change period times (via Tools > Define Period Times in Nova-T6) you need to 'Export Timetable Cycle to SQL', and then 'Export Curriculum and Timetable to SQL'. You then need to remember to do Apply Timetable in SIMS, and if using Lesson Monitor make sure that is configured correctly for the new cycle.

For installation of Census filesets via SOLUS you need to have a SIMS DMS setup in the SOLUS3 UI on the server in Environment > Targets > Services That service needs to be configured with SIMS server details and a valid SIMS username and password

SOLUS3 can (and should be setup) to download and install filesets automatically. It is just then a matter of your IT support/LA authorising the filesets as they are released by Capita.

Have experienced the Error 52: Bad file name or number when trying to create/edit RTF reports in SIMS. Changing OneDrive settings so that it does not sync the 'tempSimsRpt' folder sorted it.
