  1. Exams Organiser
  2. You'll have to create a marksheet as spelling/reading ages will be stored in aspects.
  3. I've done this in the past using an ODBC connection to the SIMS DB via Access but you could also do the same using SQL Management Studio.
  4. Glad to hear you got it sorted
  5. Were the Y12's who are duplicated in class lists previously in Y11? If so, go into Focus > Admission > Applicant and delete their admission record.
  6. Exams Embargo is set up in Exams Organiser - Tools > School Setup > Results Embargo. Unless you are on of the exceptions whilst the emabargo is in place you won't be able to run any 2019 reports.
  7. Tools > Examinations > PI Setup - is June 2019 set as the current season. Does 2019 show in the bottom panel of that screen?
  8. Did this a couple of weeks ago. Detached the SIMS DB mdf/ldf from the SQL instance on the old server and copied them across to the new server. On the new server installed SQL 2016. Rebooted the server. Ran the SIMS 2013 installable release - it allowed me to pick the 2016 instance and attach the SIMS DB. Once completed I ran the Summer upgrade on the new server. Finally copied across the DOCSTORAGE folder from the old server to the relevant place on the new server.
  9. You don't say if this is for a Primary or Secondary school. For primary: Setup new academic year (Routines > School > Academic Year) Setup next academic year pastoral structure ( Focus > School > Pastoral Structure > Next Academic Year Structure) Run School Promotion (Routines > School > Promotion) Deal with leavers (Routines > Pupil > Leavers) Depending on how the new starters have been added you will either have to admit them if sitting in a pre-admission group (Routines > Admission > Admit Applications) or go back to the Next Academic Year Pastoral Structure and ensure the new starters are assigned to the correct year group (right click Pastoral Structure, choose Members, and tick them into the correct Yr), and Reg group (right click on correct reg group, choose Members and tick them into the class).
  10. The only way to do this would be to create an aspect in which you can copy the pupils attendance. You can then create some hidden formula columns in your template for validation purposes. eg. a formula column (hidden) such as if attendance < 80% then 1 else 0 a second formula column (hidden) to do a grade tally of the highest learning behaviour grade (if the user has entered that grade in the marksheet the grade tally will return 1) a third formula column (hidden) to multiply formula column 1 by formula column 2 a final formula column (read-only but visible) - if formula column 3 equals 1 then 'learning behaviour too high' else 'OK'. You can also apply coloured shading to the formula such as red shading for the 'learning behaviour too high' message, and green for the 'OK' message.
  11. RM Education have a cloud based finance product. Bromcom recently launched their own finance option for schools to, but am not sure if that would require the Bromcom cloud based MIS as well?
  12. The school timetable model has a sub-scheme in Y9 split into Band a and Band b. Within Band a there are 2 blocks - a science block and a maths block. This is replicated in Band b. Is it possible to ensure that auto-scheduler will always schedule these blocks against each other? eg. maths band a is scheduled when science band b is happening, and science band a happens when maths band b is scheduled.
  13. Is your denominator (total marks) made up of presents (statistical meaning present or AEA) + absences (authorised and unauthorised) + missing marks (statistical meaning is no mark)??
  14. You'll have to create an Advanced Report and use multiple instances of the Attendance Marks sub-report and filter the sub-reports by date. If you output the report to Excel you can then embed code in the AutoOpen macro to calculate percentages etc
  15. Bromcom are charging for their Parent Pay integration
  16. If you use SOLUS you can deploy patches on a scheduled basis
  17. Does this work? You are prompted to enter the required date and supply the details of lesson 1 eg. Thu:1Edugeek_Att.zip
  18. Focus > System Manager > System Manager 6 In System Manager 6 go to Focus > User Click on the Print icon and select Export to CSV Format Click on the magnifying glass icon to the right of 'Export to TSV Format' and specify filename and location Click on OK Resulting CSV file should include all user accounts with email address
  19. Yeah..try changing the default printer in Windows, log out of SIMS and back in, change default printer back and log out of SIMS and back in again.
  20. Yes that's correct
  21. Try this: Open Notepad Enter the route to your SNOVA directory (e.g C:\SNOVA) Save this file as NOVA.DIR (where .DIR is the file extension) Place this file in the same folder as the NT6.exe
  22. You could just do a standalone (satellite) installation of Nova-T6 on his PC?
  23. When you process the reports it should automatically download a PDF that you can print at the same time that it uploads to the DMS
  24. Are you doing this via a WebMerge report in Bromcom? If so then you should be able to get one document per student by selecting Copy to DMS and Multiple Documents
