I ditched sky last year, after 17 years of being a subscriber. Ended up getting an AppleTV box and a nowtv subscription. It's been great. Only channel that is utter crap on streaming is ITV because their platform is a pile of junk, everything else has worked really well though. If you want a decent TV guide then EE have an option for that using the apple tv box.

Zabbix, screenshot of my dashboard attached as an example of what I'm monitoring. Screenshot taken out of hours so all the figures are low, surprised there's still 80 live users on sophos at nearly 6pm though lol The honeycomb highlights red if uptime goes over 1 month (suggesting windows update automation hasn't gone ahead or delayed). Orange for uptime under 12 hours so that anything that's rebooted recently is highlighted. Zabbix agent is installed on all VMs and hosts, flags up any services that are set to Automatic startup if they're stopped etc. I stick to the LTS version, 8.0 should be out soon hopefully, looking forward to new features.

We've got a bunch of Epson WorkForce Pro wf-c529r printers. They're great. Make sure you get an agreement with your print provider that they'll supply the XL ink bags and you'll find toner (ink) replacements a rare old thing, they last aggggees. Jamming is incredibly rare too. If you only buy the ultra cheap super recycled paper that's 65-75gsm though them print quality can be crap. They really benefit from better paper 80gsm+.

Classroom Management Options
mrbios replied to BassBone99's topic in Network and Classroom Management
As a past senso user (not V2, can't comment on that, but I know another user who is desperate to get away...) classroom cloud is significantly better. They've got a handy technician tool coming soon too, had a brief demo of it at Bett. -
Did mine last year, similar size and scale. Tried StarWind V2V converter but Veeam seemed to be the easier and better method. Once the server(s) are setup and happy, process was as simple as: Shutdown, backup, restore one by one. Uninstall VMware tools (There's a handy removal script here: Force removal of VMware Tools, Program Files, and Windows Services · GitHub ), cleanup any old devices from device manager (show hidden devices), reboot, job done.

Haha my colleague did exactly the same thing. In his hands for no more than 5 seconds before spraying it in his face. Fortunately he wears glasses so it helped give them a clean. Two days on, already worn both my pairs of verypc socks 😁

Switchshop. I was impressed, the switchshop chap spotted my name on my badge and remembered what I had ordered....a year ago! I think I've only ordered from them once too.

The small rectangular thing? Its a screen cleaner. Microfiber on one side, press top and cleaner sprays out 😁

I'm still using STAS with workstation polling method set to WMI and it's working ok right now, i've just tested a Windows 11 25H2 machine (fresh image from MECM). The wmic.exe tool has been removed but the WMI service still works so it should be fine?

Yeastar may be owned by a Chinese company but so are Yealink and we're using their handsets everywhere (Many of us are) without concern. The PBX would be on prem or in a UK datacenter depending on which route you take, so it's not like I'm asking the Chinese government to host it in their datacenter

Seen a LOT of negativity over 3CX on reddit in the past few weeks. 3CX have also changed their pricing structure: 3CX Pricelist for PRO and Enterprise Editions with new maximum extension limits. Been looking at getting EdTechPro as our staff had a look and really liked it, was leaning towards 3CX but now i'm looking much more deeply at Yeastar.

Works well here, can't say i've seen that issue, but as psydii says, make sure you're not using SSSO. That's only required for legacy OS's. For reference, my edge Computer and User policies attached incase it's of any help. (Haven't actually looked at my user settings in quite a while, probably need a tweak....but what isn't broken etc etc) EDIT: Oh i cut off the "User Configuration bar, the bottom image is user)
