Afternoon, I have a number of switches for sale that can be seen in the table below. We are based in Gloucestershire. I am unsure on any pricing, they have no use to us, but if someone can use any of them for any purpose just reach out. I'm sure we can come to some agreement on price, not looking for much. Thanks! I had a quick look, it was the first time using it and maybe I need to invest some more time into it. I have checked and the authenticated users appear to have the right permissions to the necassary folders.....i think

So no issues with drivers. Works with a local account and a domain admin, but standard users it does not. No changes as far as I'm aware, was working one day and then stopped working the next. I have tried moving both the Workstation and User into an OU with no GPOs and the issue persists. I can only guess that it is a permissions issues with some reading and writing of folders

Trying to bump this. Still no luck with this at all. I am out of ideas

Thanks so much for the feedback, I really appreciate it. You are legends

So all in all it wasn't too painful? We have a number of servers to decomission too and I figured now would be as good a time as any to get it all done in one summer.

Good Morning Geeks! I am looking for some real world experience to pull from. We are currently a VMWare estate, we run two ESXi servers, around 30 VMs, mostly Windows with a handful of Linux thrown in. The state of play is that our two servers are due to be replaced this year and I am considering moving to Hyper-V to save on the VMWare licencing that we pay each year, I have done a lot of reading about the pros and cons of each platform and the migration path but I was hoping to find someone who may have already done this in the real world and their experience. Thanks in advance you legends!

No I haven't, but I will give that a go now. Thanks for the suggestion

Morning! I am banging my head against a brick wall, and Sibelius support has not been much help at all. I am hoping someone may have come across this already and have found the fix. We have domain bound PCs running Windows 11. Sibelius installed and running really well, pointing to a network licence server. All was working fine, but then out-of-the-blue Sibelius has started to crash on the splash screen at launch. I can see the machine get a licence from the licence server console. I have tried everything I can find online, full reinstall, updates, licence server upgrades. Works with a local account, but not a domain account. My guess is it trying to write a file to a folder that it can't, but I am out of ideas now. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks!

Morning all, I wondered how everyone else manages to keep on top of all the latest technologies especially in the education sector. I have been working in IT in education for the last 17 years and never ever got a real grip on it. Just looking for advise, newsletters, feeds etc that people may have. Thanks in advance Martin

Does anyone know what the last free version number was before it went to a paid platform?

I worked exclusively with Mac hardware in a windows server environment. You will need an MDM and the best one out there by some margin in Jamf. Specifically the Pro version. https://www.jamf.com/products/jamf-pro/ It really isn't too difficult to bind them to AD, drive mapping a little bit mor difficult but I would advise looking into Jamf Connect also https://www.jamf.com/products/jamf-connect/ If you do go Jamf they have a fantastic onboarding process and training to go with it as part of their professional services. If you need anything please feel free to message me
