Dos_Box Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I'm dying! AT least that's what it feels like, everyone in my house has a cold, the kids have been up and down all night, and my nose feels like the snot tap has been turned on. Apparently it is doing the rounds, so am I suffering alone or are there others like me out there?
Geoff Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Was off work last week with it. One of my minions had it worse, he got tonsillitis as a result.
sparkeh Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I have the startings of one: sore throat and sinus pain. Thought I had avoided it this time
WithoutMotive Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Just finished getting over two weeks of sore throat and stinking cold. I'm a fighter, though, and love my job so much I still came in to work... not that anyone appreciated that
Paul_L Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Second one now in about four weeks, just got rid of one and now got another!!!!

bossman Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Bin tryin for years to catch what everyone else apart from webman succumbs to with no success in 7 years. Soft is what I calls it here up North, flu jabs and gas central heating has a lot to do with it. No gas in our village so it's coal central heating, water from bore hole out in the back yard, netty (toilet to you southerners) in tha backyard having to brek ice before avin a tinkle, nowt wat a bit a backbone an some raw meat wouldn't sort eh!!! :) 1
dezt Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Just getting over one, still had the cough for about 4 weeks now, got rid of everything else 2 weeks ago.
tech_guy Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) I'm feeling like cr@p right now. All light-headed and spaced out and my ears hurt. Whoopee. Loads of people off with it here over the last couple of weeks. I find I usually manage to save my turn to be ill for the weekends or the holidays....s'not fair. :-) Edited October 22, 2008 by tech_guy
Sirbendy Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Sniffing like a git. So is NM. Missus is too. Not progressed to a cold yet - still a mere annoyance.

FragglePete Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Went home last week and took a day off as I felt like I was dying. Pepped up, back to work and then took a couple of days holiday. Last night, I seem to come down with it again, can't stop shivering and spent a few close minutes sitting by the toilet. This has got to be the worse cold/flu I've every had, but I understand a lot of people at my School are suffering. Just sitting in bed with my laptop now to try to stop the boredom, everytime I sleep I wake up feeling sick. Pete
Sirbendy Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 I declined my free Flu jab this year...it never seems to do much, and I figure my immune system get a continual kicking as it is from the kids...

SimAda00 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 Just got over something (no idea what) but it lasted around 3 months going from sore throat, cronic cough to the odd snotty nose and sinusitis, it was a wonderful experience, and my doctors were semi useless about it too. Hope all the ill people get better soon
Pete10141748 Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Had a cold, that started to go away, then came back with a vengance and became a chest infection, that subsided, then got about 3 straight days with a headaches, now back to runny nose and slight throbbing of the head again. It's those pesky kids ya'know

Trapper Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Surprisingly not at the moment. I was blamed by the whole school for the last bout of man flu and stomach bugs
FreeWill Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Just got over one, though it wasn't serious at all. Going by previous years that's me immune for the rest of Winter!
