Hey Folks As I am looking across hard drives that I have acquired over time where I have stored data but also backups of data I am trying to find a way where I can perform data depuplication across these drives so that I can look at the end delta and then look at backing this up to some cloud storage and remove the reliance upon TB of disk space which to be honest I very rarely access. Do any of you have any recommendations on software that can do this for personal use (one time) as it is not something I have looked for before; I know plenty of enterprise software that can do this and I imagine none of our suppliers on here are willing to borrow me a license for a weekend :-) Any Ideas? Many Thanks, James.

You need to make sure your internal DNS also has the following as per your external DNS and then if you give it a test it should work. CNAME - sip sipdir.online.lync.com 1 Hour CNAME - lyncdiscover webdir.online.lync.com 1 Hour SRV _sip _tls 443 1 100 1 Hour @ sipdir.online.lync.com SRV _sipfederationtls _tcp 5061 1 100 1 Hour @ sipfed.online.lync.com If you run in to issues; head over to https://diagnostics.outlook.com and download the tool to run diagnostics for you and perform the relevant tests for Skype and return results and advise you on next steps. Let me know if that works James.

Hey, To answer the question regarding the move program for UK Customers; Existing customers hosted in the EMEA datacenter region will not be provided an option to move their customer data to the new UK datacenter region. If your a Customers that have strong data residency requirements you should contact your dedicated account manager at Microsoft or Support and put forward a request with appropriate references that states you have to comply with strong data residency requirements and that you request an exception from this decision. I also want to add that, customers whom have their core customer data stored in the existing EU data centre region are not impacted by the launch of the UK data centre region. We introduce no unique capabilities, features or compliance certifications with the new data centre region. Customers in both regions will benefit from the same quality of service, performance and security controls as before. At this time the only services that can have data stored in the UK Datacenter Exchange Online and SharePoint Online you can find more information here: http://o365datacentermap.azurewebsites.net/ Starting September 7, Office 365 will provide storage of core customer data at rest in the UK for new tenants; customers must have a billing address in the UK to be eligible. I hope that helps, Regards, James.

@gshaw - If possible can you send me your WPAD File so that I can check what is occurring here as we maybe trying to get somewhere that hasn't been taken in to consideration in the WPAD File. Thanks, James.

We spent a lot of time ensuring that DirSync upgrades went as smooth as possible; we had a few hiccups at the start but at the moment we primarily see issues when people went and changed the DirSync Configuation to which most of the time was an unsupported change and so we struggle to know about all the things that people poked around with :-) The same goes for Auto Upgrade that is available that is something that we have such a high bar for because we ofcourse need to ensure that goes smooth. One of the biggest issues at the moment we see people running in to is Proxy/Network related issues which is something we are looking to see how we can further help in those scenarios so that such problems are not encountered. Feedback is always appreciated; so feel free to drop a PM my way if you have anything you want to discuss we do review and discuss customer feedback that is provided. James.

Yes; I am not sure if something changed since 2014 but it would of done. The command you have shown is the correct one as you are adding a value to an array

If you use Azure AD Connect we create a Dedicated Sync Account so that you don't have to worry about the password expiration issues. James.

Unfortunately I can't state when we will open up the preview of Microsoft Classtoom outside of the US. I can confirm that we will add support for other geographies for Classroom and SDS over the course of FY17 according to demand and compliance limitations. Keep an eye out for updates, We will have more news on roll out plans and geographies for international availability by Q1 FY17.
