I may not have been a great contributor to this form over the last fifteen years, but I have monitored the forums on a daily basis and picked up loads of good information – for which I thank you all. I have been in ‘Educational IT Support’ now for 18 years and was even a member of the forerunner to this forum (Nod to DOS_BOX), but it is now time to hang up my hat and sail of into the sunset of retirement (having had a previous 23-year career in the military). Thanks for everything and Goodbye Edugeek. Regards Paul L

Morning All, Hope you are all safe and well. Got quite a number of our Schools reporting Internet Issues, seems to have started late PM 21 April and continuing today (22 April) Been in contact with BT LS and they are saying its not them and its our problem (and yet we have a number showing the same symptoms)! Anyone else in BT LS Land experiencing Internet issues? Thanks Paul L Okay, scratch that - BT LS now have recognised there is a problem!

Just wondering if anyone else in a Lancashire Primary School is using this and whether it's working 100%? I have 3 primary schools and just can't get it working fully in any of them! Have put all the 'bypasses' in etc. it will sync the pupil data (as uploaded to app developers), but planning sync, very hit and miss and pupil progress, syncing across devices (iPads) does not seem to work at any of the schools. Would be grateful for other peoples experiences. Regards Paul

You have hit the nail on the head there, 240GB SSD and struggling to sync off-line files!!!!

As per the title! I think it is, your thoughts would be most grateful Paul

I just gave ours a static IP address and added it to the 'NSW-Unfiltered' group and it seems to work okay. Paul -
[sims] Solus 3 migration registration password

Have tried that I'm afraid and as soon as Capita realised we were a Lancashire school they just said sorry can't help you, you need to speak to BT LS :-( -
[sims] Solus 3 migration registration password
Paul_L replied to SpaceInvader83's topic in MIS Systems
Funny, you should post this, we have just had the same thing, BT LS refusing to give us the password, saying the Solus 3 Site Registration Password is the property of Capita and so we (the school) are not entitled to know it! -

Is this from an iPad? or a device not on your domain (ie a device that does not have the agent on)? -

Wondering if anyone else has seen this? Having migrated a couple of schools now to Netsweeper, we are seeing consistently slower speeds then before migration. In some cases, half speeds and even down to 2.1Mbps. Can people try some speed tests and see if its less then before? Unfortunately (or otherwise) I was around when they tried Netsweeper 5 or 6 years ago and one of the main issues then was speed!! Thanks in advance Paul -
Just had confirmation that an issue with the SSL filtering on Lightspeed has been identified, resulting in slow and unresponsive page loads, this is now being investigated.
