At 8:08am and 8 seconds today I was just getting on the bus to work

I know the feeling... I was 17 and if memory serves, working on a roller skating rink or an ice cream parlour at the rinks entrance...

 

I also remember sweating my A-level mock results which were appalling when they came out...

So much superstitious crap going around today about the number 8

27; and had been married for 4 years. No idea what... Strike that, seeing how I'm wearing the now "decorating only" tee shirt, I see I was lighting a production of Grease. The most memorable bit was getting the car up to the stage; first floor level, no ramps!

Working up the courage to ask out a 16 year old girl who also had a summer job at the factory. Never did, though. Recently I met her younger sister (now in her 30's), and told her about it. She thought it was hilarious.

I was 11 and about to start secondary school! I couldn't tell what I was doing on the exact day, but my lasting memory of the summer.

 

Walking off with one of my mates to the secondary school in question - about a hour away - after my mum telling me not to leave the immediate area around the house. I arrived home over 2 hours later with a sun burnt neck and in a whole world of trouble

I was 33 in 1988. Oh, if I knew them what I know now - I could have patented lots of things before they had been invented and made a fortune!

 

For those who don't know, in China the number 8 is associated with prosperity and is the most auspicious of the numbers. Today's date, containing 3 of them is 3 times as auspicious.

I would have been just over 2 so doing what ever 2 year olds did, probably pulling something to bits knowing me, I've had this habbit of pulling anything and everything to bits since I was born.
