  1. That might be it. I had a school 100% stuck at pending last week. I've removed the apps from the profile, saved it, re-added the apps with the PLIST, and saved again. There is progress now and half the iPads have installed.
  2. I have had reports of Clicker apps saying they are unlicenced randomly on some iPads. I've resent the install command to all of them with the new PLIST and will see how it goes.
  3. The example PLIST that Mosyle provide only has the dict section, so I've shortened the files to ... OrgID org111111 EnrollmentCode 4ABC AAAA AAAA ... and hit resend command and the apps appear to be installing on some devices. This may have been the issue. We do generally have some apps randomly not installing, but this tends to be on the ones wet up a couple of years ago. Clicker apps seems to be installing now with the shorter PLIST . I'll keep monitoring.
  4. Hello, We've deployed the Clicker apps to many iPads across several schools and we're getting the same situation at all schools. Clicker Writer randomly installs on a few iPads, and sticks on pending for the rest. Clicker Books and Talk apps stick on "pending" for all iPads at all schools. Each deployment has a PLIST file with the OrgID and enrollmentCode from Cricksoft. Here's an example PLIST with codes obscured. This is copied and pasted from Cricksoft with just the codes changed OrgID org111111 EnrollmentCode 4ABC AAAA AAAA Has anyone successfully got the clicker apps to deploy with Mosyle? What am I doing wrong? Thanks.
  5. Thanks! I didn't know about the Configuration Tool. I was using the main Access Control UI. All migrated now.
  6. Is there any way to migrate the complete database for Net2? The export/import function only does users; not access levels time zones and doors. Thanks.
  7. Thanks. Last year I put events in my calendar for the push cert expiry date on all the schools I manage. This must be one of the iPads that got expired before that. I was hoping there was a better way or workaround to get the iPads to use the new push cert.
  8. I have long-running issue with iPads on Mosyle not installing apps deployed to them. If they're DEP enrolled then the only way to re-enroll them is wiping and losing all the photos. I have a typical iPad here. It hasn't updated or installed any new apps in months. The Mosyle Manager apps on the iPad is communicating with Mosyle. It lists the apps I've recently deployed to it. Tapping (Re)Install/Update has no effect other than the message "command sent to the device" Mosyle website shows the Last update info: 11:56 - 25/11/2020 - that's about 2 years ago. The current push certificate is valid, though it could have expired and been renewed in the past 2 years. The Mosyle MDM profile appears as not verified - the *.mosyle.com cert has expired; though Mosyle support say this is cosmetic and does not affect the application of the profile. There has to be a better solution other than wiping the devices every time this happens. Any ideas?
  9. I found that opening the Mosyle Manager app and tapping (Re)Install/Update sometimes, but not always, works. Not ideal. I still don't know if the fault is with Apple or Mosyle.
  10. Thanks. The Apps & Books token is still valid. I've noticed that almost all the iPads with outdated apps appear on Mosyle as either having >90% full storage or very low battery. So possibly the apps can't update. I'll clear space on some of them and see if the apps update. Is there anywhere in Mosyle or ASM or the iPad where there are logs or troubleshooting info? The app updates are failing without any messages.
  11. Hello, I have a school with iPads managed by Mosyle. Apps deploy to the iPads OK, but we've noticed the apps are not automatically updating. Mosyle reports that a lot of apps are outdated. The profile has "update outdated apps automatically" set. I tried:- * On Mosyle "Send update app command to all outdated", but it has no effect. Updating an app from the Mosyle app on an iPads succeeds so it it doesn't seem to be a firewall issue. * editing the Mosyle Install App profile and saving without making any changes * removing the app from the profile and re-adding it. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? Thanks.
  12. I think I've found the cause. In ASM I needed to give my account the Content Manager role, which then allows me to add a credit card to payment information. .. edit I might not have needed the Content Manager role, having had Administrator role. I've only just found the drop down box in ASM to add credit card details, which may have been there already.
  13. Hello, We currently have a sch9ool with iPads managed by ASM & Mosyle. All working well with free apps. How do school actually buy paid-for apps? I understand we need to buy VPP Credit and add it to the ASM. How do we do that? I've tried this https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT202983 which links to the Apple Store for Education, gives a phone number, and a store locator The Apple Store for Education https://ecommerce.apple.com/asb2bstorefront/fys?language=EN&country=GB won't let me sign in with the VPP account. The enrol link is bad. The Register link requests credential then says "access denied" The only option I can see is to phone Apple but that means waiting in a long queue. Surely there's an easier way? Is it possible to buy VPP credit online? Thanks.
  14. I was getting my hopes up.
  15. I've had a response from Google support. The pupils just close the lid when finished which does not log them out, so the profiles don't get cleared. I'll powerwash all the Chromebooks, then set only the action on close lid. I won't set "Erase local user data" yet as it shouldn't be necessary. With the accounts logged out the ChromeOS should be able to clear old ones. From Google support:-
  16. Thanks. That's interesting and will stop me wasting time on something that won't work. The trouble is that none of the rest works either: leaving ChromeOS to manage the space, or wiping profiles from GAM. Short of a power wash done from the device, nothing will free up space. I'll leave "erase local user data" turned off, and raise a ticket with Google. It looks like I've got the same situation as @jthompson and a few others here.
  17. I've sone some experimenting and found that:- * Setting erase local data on a device that is already full does not clear disk space. It seems to hide the other profiles, but not actually delete anything. Is it possible that it does not apply retrospectively to profiles that existed before the policy was applied? * Reset device - clear user profiles (not a full factory reset) from Google Admin Console doesn't clear any space either. * There are two places to set erase local data:- 1) User settings, Force ephemeral mode 2) Device settings, User data I've tried all the above in various settings on a device with full storage and none of them clear space. Next thing to try is set erase local user data (either device or user or both) then power washing and see how it goes from there.
  18. I'm having the same issue at one of my Primary Schools, but it's not new - it also happened about two years ago. The only solution last time was to power wash the Chromebooks. There are about 200 pupils using about 40 Chromebooks. Each Chromebook typically has 20+ profiles on it. I'd assumed that the profiles weren't getting deleted because they weren't old enough - like there was some minimum time limit before a profile could be deleted. I only visit that school once a week so I can't get hold of one of the devices right now. So has everyone else found that the erase all data has no effect?

  20. I've found the same problem on a few old iPads. The time and date were wrong which prevents safari verifying the cert. Re-enabled time to set automatically. https://appuals.com/safari-cant-verify-the-identity-of-the-website-error-message/
  21. I've been working for a week on setting up Smoothwall cloud filter but it's not filtering. The Smoothwall Chrome extension is deployed with the serial number in the JSON extension properties. The Smoothwall on-prem box reports that Google directory passes the diagnostics and is properly synced. But... it's just not filtering. Users are getting basic safe-mode filtering, not the policies from the Smoothwall box. Real time log filter is empty. The diagnostics complain about invalid times but the times on the Chromebook and Smoothwall are correct. It says connected but filtermode=1. I've been told filtermode should be 2. Chromebooks diagnostics:- { "copiedAt": "Thu, 04 Feb 2021 11:32:00 UTC", "license": [ "cldflt", "core" ], "connection": "connected", "filterMode": "Mode 1", "policyName": "", "generatedEpoch": "Could not retrieve generated timestamp.", "generatedDatetime": "Invalid Date", "blocklistVersionDatetime": "Thu, 04 Feb 2021 03:45:02 UTC", "blocklistVersionEpoch": "1612410302", "lastSentLogs": "never", "username": "", "ipAddressPublic": [], "ipAddressPrivate": [], "directoryGroups": [], "mappedGroups": [], "provisioningError": "Smoothwall 1.0.22310" } I've spent most of a week on this. Any suggestions much appreciated.
  22. The only way I've found to deploy Scratch 3.12 is here http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows/202686-could-someone-create-msi-installer-new-scratch3-desktop-please-4.html#post1824202 extract the app-32 folder than use robocopy in a batch file to copy that to the client, then GPO to create shortcuts. Thanks to @simpsonj To run a batch file as an application in MDT, use the form:- cmd.exe /c \\server\share\batch.bat
  23. Do you also have a "UE-V Register Inbox Templates" scheduled task (probably disabled)? I've also found in a few stubborn cases that logging on as admin then enabling and running that task manually fixes it. It disables itself again, but should only need running once. There may be a brief Powershell window open while the script runs. Then restart the machine.
  24. Did you get this fixed? The Avid master account web-page is a pain. We currently have a license on there without a system ID, so we can't activate it. I've had a ticket open for over a week and they still haven't fixed it. They want to remote in as if that's going to fix their website. I phoned yesterday and spent 50 minutes on hold before having to give up.
  25. You've probably fixed this by now, but Sibelius does this if when it searches for the license server on the first run after installation. For me, I just ran Sibelius once as local admin, then let it find the license server. It's OK after that.
