Anyone got any ideas why one of my profiles only seems to properly apply when a new device is erased? On first setup it shows all the same profiles as a "correct" device, but I have to erase the device to get them all to properly stick; just reinstalling the profiles doesn't seem to help. Also, where the heck to you set the time zone? Getting tired of having to set the pads to London manually.

Hello, I have a school with iPads managed by Mosyle. Apps deploy to the iPads OK, but we've noticed the apps are not automatically updating. Mosyle reports that a lot of apps are outdated. The profile has "update outdated apps automatically" set. I tried:- * On Mosyle "Send update app command to all outdated", but it has no effect. Updating an app from the Mosyle app on an iPads succeeds so it it doesn't seem to be a firewall issue. * editing the Mosyle Install App profile and saving without making any changes * removing the app from the profile and re-adding it. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi New to Mosyle (not to Macs have used JAMF Pro and JAMF School before) We have a room of 32 Macs in Music room that are attached to AD, we want to push a networked printer to them for students to use. For some reason the printer set up in Mosyle doesn't appear in the Printers and Scanners pane in System Settings. Cant find much in the way of guides/ support in Mosyle, anyone had experience of doing this and making it work? Thanks in advance Steve

Hi Guys, We are currently testing out Mosyle and are having a few issues with automated enrollment. Automated enrollment works as it should and pops up with the welcome screen I've configured, but we are having an issue where the profile can be removed from VPN and Profile within the general tab within settings. The Ipads have also got a very small message at the bottom saying this device is remotely managed and can be removed within settings The devices are in Apple School Manager and Moysle and both Syncing together The device's have been previously configured with Meraki and a different apple ID i have removed them from Meraki and also restored the ipad to fully erase the settings Thanks Jake

Hi, does anyone know how to force sync apps from ASM to Mosyle. Apps have been purchased but not showing in Mosyle. Thanks

Anyone bought any licences for either of the above recently? If so, how much did you have to pay? School currently has 60 iPads on Mosyle free and want another 60. I'm assuming that they'll want paying as the current free limit is 30 - maybe we joined the gang when it was higher? Or does anyone have any recommendations? We could use Intune, but that has yet to be set up and every time I start to loo at it I get brain ache. Used to have Lightspeed but I found it very clunky.

I have long-running issue with iPads on Mosyle not installing apps deployed to them. If they're DEP enrolled then the only way to re-enroll them is wiping and losing all the photos. I have a typical iPad here. It hasn't updated or installed any new apps in months. The Mosyle Manager apps on the iPad is communicating with Mosyle. It lists the apps I've recently deployed to it. Tapping (Re)Install/Update has no effect other than the message "command sent to the device" Mosyle website shows the Last update info: 11:56 - 25/11/2020 - that's about 2 years ago. The current push certificate is valid, though it could have expired and been renewed in the past 2 years. The Mosyle MDM profile appears as not verified - the *.mosyle.com cert has expired; though Mosyle support say this is cosmetic and does not affect the application of the profile. There has to be a better solution other than wiping the devices every time this happens. Any ideas?

We have a slowly growing number of iPads that are showing "last update" some time ago. I have marked these lost, which doesn't seem to be being taking affect. However they do seem to be in use and updating apps. Anyone had this and managed to sort it out? Also, I reset one pad which now will not connect to the school main SSID. However I set up the "Mosyle Emergency" SSID on the same Unifi APs/system and it will connect to that (and my phone). Ditto.

Hello, I'm currently trying to utilize Mosyle MDM to deploy app management. For some reason when I try to restrict certain apps it either does all or none. Can anyone help with this issue? FOR EXAMPLE: if i block facetime but not calculator. ill push the policy and calculator will be blocked as well even though I didn't select that app. Therefore ill select apps and it applies it to them all still, even though I specified which apps to allow. Could it be a mosyle problem would switching MDM's help?

Hi all I've been asked to commission a new Mac suite on a budget and as I understand it Mosyle is popular and we already have iPads on the free tier. Does anyone have a recommendation for a reseller? I saw a list on another thread so I went to Insight UK but they said they don't supply it and my account manager at BSL said he's going to check if it's something they supply.. Additionally, does anyone know of anywhere that will install and configure it as a service? I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty, but we're already fully committed with other projects this summer.. Thanks!
