Hi, I have enrolled our Surface win8.1 RTs to MDM and are trying to force a specific SSID for them to connect to. Although they don't seem to want to do anything.. Any help please

Hi, I've a bit of a conundrum that I can't help but think someone else must be experiencing. We've a couple of hundred iPad 2's that we purchased from AT Computers (no longer trading). We really want to push ahead making use of DEP, however our existing iPads are not available/ registered with apple and therefore aren't available in MDM. Our understanding: When logging into DEP we should have a list of previous orders that we approve for the programme. Although AT Computers have now been bought/ changed trading name (yey), after pestering them for the last 4 months nothings has yet happened. So I guess my question to you all is: "Do any of you have old devices that are available to the deployment programme?" Many thanks, hope you've had more success than us with this! David

Hi Guys, We are currently testing out Mosyle and are having a few issues with automated enrollment. Automated enrollment works as it should and pops up with the welcome screen I've configured, but we are having an issue where the profile can be removed from VPN and Profile within the general tab within settings. The Ipads have also got a very small message at the bottom saying this device is remotely managed and can be removed within settings The devices are in Apple School Manager and Moysle and both Syncing together The device's have been previously configured with Meraki and a different apple ID i have removed them from Meraki and also restored the ipad to fully erase the settings Thanks Jake

Hi All, I work at a School that currently doesn't have any tablets but is interested in buying some in the near future. As such I've been doing some research, I've found this site which is great and has a bunch of MDM systems I hadn't considered but since I've been out of Education for a while I thought I ask what you all use here? I'm tempted by Lightspeed as we already have the Rocket which is pretty good but any advice would be great. Thanks Rob

Hi everyone, hope someone can help! I'm running Meraki MDM on Ruckus in the hope to deploy a BYOD scheme in a school. Everything seems to be working fine but I thought it was possible to apply different profiles to devices depending on the time of day. To do this I set up a "weekend" tag in the Configure -> General page and then applied that tag to an unrestricted profile. I set the time to release one, restricted, profile and apply another: I placed the correct tag in the profile: Since nothing has changed (i.e. time for releasing one profile and applying the other) has passed without any change I'm assuming that a) I'm doing this wrong b) this function is only applicable if working in conjunction with Meraki AP Any advice would be great!

Good day, all! I currently manage about 40 iPads in a school and have recently discovered the 'delight' that is Apple Configurator 2. I say 'delight' because it is anything but. HOWEVER, I have managed to wrestle it in to something that conforms to what I want it to do (deploy custom blueprints, deploy profiles) but I need to connect the iPads the iMac that runs both MacOS Server and AC2 via USB cable. It's awfully messy, and we recently opened a second site a few miles which shares a network connection via an EAD line and has their own set of iPads - getting them back to my office on the main site is a pain, so I'd like to investigate an over-the-air solution but have no idea where on earth to start, and which MDM solutions even offer that kind of facility, or if that can be added into AC2 (as I know it asks about MDM servers during device preparation). iPads are spread out across the school site, one per classroom. There is no requirement for them to be using the Classroom App or separate users as we are a special needs school, so just a device set up to a uniform standard with restrictions in place for locking down device functions is all that's needed and all they've got. Now, I'm a self-taught newbie in the Apple ecosphere.: to be fair I'm not at all keen on them from a management perspective, but as the school made a significant financial investment in them before my time I'm duty-bound to facilitate the continuation of their use. I also have the issue where the Apple ID the school is using and previously purchased all their apps on is a standard iTunes Apple ID: NOT a VPP one, which means I basically have one license for the apps that these iPads are all sharing. I've not run into any issue yet with the 10-device limit on standard IDs: all the apps open without issue across all devices. So basically my questions are as follows: 1) Over-the-air deployment. Can it be done using just AC2 or does it require a third-party solution 2) If a third party solution, which is the best to use? I've seen there is another topic covering this, but having glanced through it I still find myself somewhat clueless when it comes to the jargon 3) Will I run into problems with an over-the-air system using an iTunes Store Apple ID, i.e. will it deploy an app to a single iPad and then stop dead? Many thanks in advance to any who answer this!!

Hi All, I have notice the Meraki Systems Manager MDM is free for up to 100 devices. I am thinking about getting it however we don't use meraki wifi points. Do i need a meraki WiFi system in order to use SM? Or can it just install on a server and we role it out to wifi clients? Kind Regards Harry

Hello, I'm currently trying to utilize Mosyle MDM to deploy app management. For some reason when I try to restrict certain apps it either does all or none. Can anyone help with this issue? FOR EXAMPLE: if i block facetime but not calculator. ill push the policy and calculator will be blocked as well even though I didn't select that app. Therefore ill select apps and it applies it to them all still, even though I specified which apps to allow. Could it be a mosyle problem would switching MDM's help?

Hi there,Currently using Airwatch as our mdm solution - our current contract with Airwatch is due to expire and we are looking to move to using either Xenmobile or Intune. Our mobile device estate is primarily made up of Apple Devices ( mainly iPads ) - we also have a decent amount of Android devices. Does anyone have experience using either Xenmobile or Intune?? Do these integrate well with Apple DEP & VPP? Any insight into either of these mdm solutions would be helpful.
