I must comb my hair

(no I won't explain - 57 Year old bloke - work it out for yourself)

Which side would you like your parting?

(Another 57 year old male here, do people even have partings these days?)

My USB DVD drive arrived today, for a laugh I read the manual.

"To install the driver for Windows 98 please use the floppy disk" - it didn't come with a floppy disk.

'That Audi behind me is keeping his/her distance'

The thread topic is:

^ That has never been thought or said by anyone. Ever.

:)

This is uncalled for. I have had 2 Audi's in the last 4 years and you'd normally be able to get a barge in the gap between me and the car in front. #RespectTheSpecialFew.

Anyway back to topic:

"Policy Central is a joy to work with and so easy to manage!"

My apologies.

#TheExceptionThatProvesTheRule

:)

Pedant: "The exception that proves the rule" doesn't mean "One instance is exempt from the rule."

It's used when a rule explicitly states it has an exception.. "Open every day but Sunday!". 'but Sunday' is the exception that proves the rule.

It can be taken more literally as "The exception that proves the rule exists." (as if they were open every day, they wouldn't need the rule that says the day they aren't open..)

And I'm not derailing, I promise. I haven't had to explain that to somebody for a long time :p

No - I think @L3OUGH means the BMW way of filtering into a queue*... :troll:

*note - I know quite a few BMW drivers that are actually very nice drivers.

No it doesn't - well not as far as I know. In this instance the word "prove" means "test", so it is the exception that tests the rule out.

*nb It seems that your version is probably a newer one than mine
