Trapper Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Apparently this is my fault and it's poor performance that I'm not fixing it. Amazing. Companies across the world are probably loosing millions over this, and I get it in the neck as some people can't send a chuffing email. There are days I hate education. Being blamed for a worldwide outage of one of the premier cloud services has to be one of those. 3
StevieM Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/status/#current Looks like the Azure AD errors in DirSync were the sign of things to come... Looking at the chart at the bottom of the page, it shows 10 Information flags and 1 Warning. What exactly does it take for there to be an Error flag!!!!

Being blamed for a worldwide outage of one of the premier cloud services has to be one of those. Get whoever it is to google the words "office365 down". There's about 20 different articles from the last 1-3 hours about how there's a huge outage in Europe. Don't feed their ignorance.

nathan Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Email is working fine for us (connected to the desktop outlook app), have been trying to login to O365 to change a global signature for the last 10 minutes with no luck
Steve21 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 REMOTE APP customers will experiences failures when attempting to connect to their Remote App instances. Out of curiosity anyone who's got hosted SIMs know if that means it's dead too? Steve
dry Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Email is working fine for us (connected to the desktop outlook app), have been trying to login to O365 to change a global signature for the last 10 minutes with no luck If you need urgent access, using an American VPN is working here!
Michael Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 It's a good thing we are not cloud based Currently using this with our Students but because it's locally installed there is no issue. I like having a plan B I agree with what you're saying, but I think this is the first proper outage in literally years. Kind of reminds me of the Natwest problems sometime ago, where a rogue software update was applied. I suspect this is most likely the case with O365 too.
Griff Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Some pupil here just asked me if I DDoS'd Microsoft and is that why its down
witch Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 the login screen is back but we still can't log in
jaminben Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Not back up for us... still no login screen.
Michael Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I still get a blank screen when refreshing. Time for lunch me thinks! Maybe someone at Microsoft applied the KB3097877 update to Outlook? Opps! 3
FragglePete Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Does appear to be slow - but I could access everything on our tenant. Not showing any history of service issues!!!!! Pete
Steve21 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Prior to executing a failover, the Azure Active Directory team identified an issue with the failover mitigation path, which would have blocked the mitigation. The team is now implementing an update to Azure Active Directory front ends to call a known good configuration. Customers may see some improvement as a result of the update to the front end. An update will be provided in 60 minutes, or as events warrant. Their failover failed good game! Steve 2
sparkeh Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Yikes. We are literally on the verge of switching from GAFE to 365 and I can't log in to give our setup a final checkover :S So, for long term 365 users, is this an exceptional event? 1
6Foot2 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I had an OWA session on one machine going since before the problems started. That has now dropped the connection and now I can't get back in.
gshaw Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Loaded once for me but timing out 2nd time round
jamin100 Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I got back in about 20 minutes ago but trying on another browser still fails, so i don't think its fully working yet

We went over to O365 in July, this has been the first issue since then tbh 1
nathan Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 for us it is, there's always minor issues but i can't remember the last time there was a compete failure 2
