If replacing with something with TPM support is an option, go with that. You might be able to look at SEDs although I think BitLocker still requires TPM even with a SED (could be wrong).

Had the exact op. Pain after surgery was there but was mild. Didn't need the amount of coedine given to me at the hospital and switched to paracetamol after a few days. Back to work a couple of weeks later. Pros massively outweighed the cons for me. Try not to over think it- it's a normal operation done on thousands every year. Such a relief not worrying about when the next random burst of pain is going to come. Good luck.

Was struggling to access SCO earlier this morning here. Support were aware and the status page (https://status.tucasi.com) has just been updated to say service restored. Second week in a row that we've had downtime that's massively affected the school dinner ordering. Anybody got any viable alternatives to SCO that I can suggest to our Business Manager?

We've installed a couple of EB-X41s recently and am v. impressed with them. Good brightness level and replacement lamps are cheap too. Quick corner makes installation super easy too. Have found Amazon cheap and reliable for them- they're a shade under £265 at the minute there.

If you've got cable runs to the locations already, have you thought about just using PoE injectors? Would probably be cheaper than doing a switch upgrade. If you do need new switches look at Ubiquiti's UniFi range for affordable options- pricing here. Be careful to ensure enough air flow to the switches if you are mounting them in the ceiling void. Is it possible to run the cabling back to a central location?

UniFi here and it's running well. The only frustrating thing is Ubiquiti have made the UAP-AC v2s End of Life from November 2018. They were bought in October 2015 and it's going to cost a fair amount to replace the amount of these APs around the school after only 3 years.

Offline files for all staff users. DirectAccess as a trial for SLT and other non-teaching staff to access shared areas, as well as a third party VPN solution for some non-teaching staff whose ISP's default router firewall rules were preventing DirectAccess from connecting. Looking at transitioning to solely OneDrive because we're finding 'secret' DropBox shares still being used by teachers despite policy saying no. At least with OneDrive we'll have some control over the data.

Our trust bought into Parago and I've been impressed with it so far. Seems very flexible and their developers do listen to moans & act upon them. For some reason when initially buying Parago we bought their on-site 'auditor' (label sticker) service for 3 days at great expense. Found that half of the asset tags that they'd stuck were wonky/not straight and my OCD went absolutely bananas! Sadly couldn't warrant the time to scrape them off and reapply properly...

We use OfficeXpress - they'll send a free collection box out to you. I'd be surprised if any companys offer a kickback on waste toners these days, sadly.

Probably about 0.5-1 inch here in Reading on Sunday morning. Pretty much all melted now It must have fallen thick and fast though as I was designated driver on Saturday night- there wasn't a single flake at 04:30 Sunday morning and the roads were wet. Woke up at 9am to a blanket.

Last posted here in September but happy to report I haven't fallen off the rails (yet!). Still eating to a caloric deficit and tracking my food using MyFitnessPal (highly recommended if you're intending to lose weight and are obsessive with numbers like me). Bought a small size shirt recently which I've never been able to do in my adult life! Always been a L or XL (or bigger...) Interestingly have had my ID rejected a couple of times by people claiming I don't look like the photo, and have had to pull out another ID to prove it's me. Have started experimenting with things like OMAD (one meal a day- pig out on 1500 calories for one meal, having fasted for ~24hrs). Met with a PT who suggested it's time to start maintenance (reducing the deficit so you're neither losing nor gaining weight) and bulking out, so looks like I'll need to learn what this 'Gym' thing is... It's been a massive learning experience for me and I'd encourage you to give calorie counting a go if you're struggling with weight loss. There's a lot of useful information on r/loseit and other subreddits. Going to try and pick up Couch to 5K again and half tempted to join the sunday league footy team a lot of my friends play for. Are you ghosting the HDD to the SSD or are you installing Windows from scratch? If the latter, where did you source your Windows Installation Media from?
