I’m watching that as well. Has some similarities to Invincible on Prime, in that it’s about the children of superheroes. It’s a bit, well, dour to be honest but I think it’s worth continuing with, for now at least.

I've been blitzing the remastered Babylon 5 recently. Halfway through season two at the moment.

It's great to see it all in genuine HD without the loss of fidelity that came with the widescreen conversion.

 

The story is as relevant today as ever it was!

Finally got around to the mid-season (possible series?) finale of "The Nevers".

 

I enjoyed the show, though it wasn't without its faults. To me, it felt like there was an episode missing between the fourth and fifth, and I'm not entirely in agreement with the "the sixth episode explains it all" claims. I felt it just confirmed a few fan theories (and starred a genre favourite) but opened up a lot more questions. I hope that any forthcoming episodes won't "do a Dollhouse" and ignore the revelations of the finale until people have given up on the show.

We watched Friday Night Dinner: 10 Years and a Lovely Bit of Squirrel on Channel 4 last night. Well worth many a chuckle. It can still be seen via All4.

Watched this just this morning. It was well done, although so sad to see Paul Ritter almost unrecognisable due to his ill health, but brave of him to want to do it anyway, because of what it meant to him.

Over the weekend we started cracking on with the final episodes of Lucifer.

Great stuff! They're giving less time to the crime solving aspect and spending more time dealing with the the more divine aspects of the show.

 

Dennis Haysbert playing an absent-minded god with a love of song is perfect.

The musical episode was marvellous and brought a level of cheese not seen since the Buffy musical episode!

Agreed! Sean Bean and Stephen Graham are fantastic. Easily the best drama this year.

 

If there is ever another series of Line of Duty they should get Jimmy McGovern to write it rather than Jed Mercurio.

Loki (Disney+) is brilliant because it understands that all it needs to do is give Tom Hiddleston lots of time to be a little chaotic goblin, always running a scam, always condescending to you, always dancing on the edge of complete disaster and trying any dang thing to save himself. The first episode was so small in scope, too--just 50 minutes of character arc as 2012-Loki is forcibly caught up to where 2019-Loki ended up, and the emotional journey involved in understanding himself. I'm finding these series a far more interesting way to explore the Marvel universe because it finally allows time for character, rather than just plot+action.
