and... What do you pre-install/allow your users to use?

 

Personally Chrome is such a resource hog that I'm moving back to Firefox. It seems to be a little more stable now then it was a few years back.

Chrome at home but IE at work, purely due to compatibility reasons.

Personally I use Chrome on a Windows Machine of any kind that I can install apps onto, Safari on my mac and iPhone.

 

Our users use IE for management though as its configurable.

 

IE is the best browser though, for downloading other browsers, as the various MeMe's state

Chrome for me. My favorites are synchronised anywhere I log into Chrome as are my Chrome extensions.

 

Internet Explorer for applications/tasks at work, however, Chrome is available for staff that would prefer to use it.

Students and staff have the choice of chrome or IE at work.

Moved to Chrome last year from Firefox. I do from time to time use IE & Firefox mainly due to application comparability issues.

At home, I use Chrome on all devices. Firefox is installed on the desktop so I can modify the school website and that's all it gets used for. IE is installed on the desktop because Mr Gee40 won't use Chrome on it despite using Chrome on his iPad and phone. It is handy to have more thsn one browser installed as, periodically, something won't work on on one browser or the other.

 

At school, both IE and Chrome are installed. As a GAfE school, staff are rapidly making the switch to it. Firefox installed only for the two people who amend the schooll website.

Long-time Chrome fanboy, though oftentimes I have both Chrome and IE open to test compatibility or login to the same service as 2 different users (recently Office365) as it saves setting up a laptop next to me.

Been using it from before Google started their plan for world domination and have a number of extensions/tweaks that I find very useful. Occasionally use Opera + ADV-TOR client to get around location/ISP blocks.

 

I did try using IE at work, but got tired of it's sluggishness. Also experimented with Chrome but didn't find it any better than Firefox plus Google already know far too much about my browsing habits .

 

At school they have IE but I had to bow to public demand and allow Chrome as apparently "it's sooooo much faster". Can't say I noticed that, and suspect that a lot of the speed teachers report is due to caching of searches and personal data to predict behaviour.

At home Opera. Actually I have Opera, Firefox, Chrome, and Konqueror installed and I use them in that order of frequency.

At work Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE - FF for our website (the rubbish CMS only really works in FF), Safari on the Mac (obviously) and IE for our MIS system (it only works in IE).

 

The college computers have IE and Chrome installed on them and we default users to IE so that the MIS system works. Unfortunately this breaks much of the rest of the Internet and Moodle and we spend most of our time telling people to try the website in Chrome where it will probably work. When they spend money on Prezi Suitcase, we spent about a month showing teachers how to open the site in Chrome and then it was still 50/50 if it would work, depending on the number of people trying to access the site.

Safari/ Chrome combo for me.

 

Staff have a preference for IE here but the head has began the arduous task of forcing them all over to chrome to line up with our calendars/ drives/ emails etc.

I use chrome at home logged in to my google account so get all the services and features.

 

At work I use Chrome not logged into a google account.

 

I use IE to check things if they do not work on chrome

At work, Chrome. We have Chrome installed across the site as well because it can be controlled centrally (unlike Firefox). I'd say that the vast majority of students use it and probably 60-75% of the staff too.

 

At home, I switch between Safari and Chrome.

School machines have IE and Chrome for people to choose from. We use GAfE so Chrome gets used a lot more.

IE for me both at home and at work although most of my browsing at home is via my iPad so use Safari.

 

All of our workstations here have IE (default) and Chrome.

I'm also looking at Vivaldi. Its a nice and quick browser!
