    Firefox

Anyone tried the new Firefox? Thoughts?
  2. Sure, if that fails to work are you able to set permissions on the directory? i.e. "Everyone" to "Deny" ? I tried this and it works as the executable is inside that folder and the folder cannot be accessed once deny permission is set.
  3. This should work, I was using a MS10ENT Evaluation VM to test but I believe PRO still has the required tools to block this application (see screenshot)
  4. Security policy and block the executable? You cannot use Applocker but you should be able to use a Security Policy with either executable hash or path rule.
  5. Could you try an older O/S such as Win7 to see if it still has the issue? This would at least rule out if it's a Win10 issue.
  6. I would be asking questions about security and what measures would be in place to protect against a leak.
  7. This makes sense as windows 10 is SAAS so I suppose they need to make money this way to fund development, security improvements etc.
  8. There is always this as a replacement: https://www.getpaint.net/ Can I use Paint.NET for business, commercial, school, or government use? Or is it only free for "personal" use? Yes, you may use it for business, commercial, school, and government use -- the Paint.NET application is free for all of these purposes (and also for personal use). You may install it on as many systems as you'd like, although we do request and appreciate a donation to support our ongoing development costs. The main restriction is that you may not modify the Paint.NET software itself (e.g. change the name, add/remove features, "don't modify the DLL or EXE files"), and as a corollary you may not distribute modified copies of Paint.NET.
  9. What software do you deploy (if any)?
  10. https://www.theverge.com/2017/5/2/15506378/microsoft-windows-10-s-os-operating-system-announced-features What are peoples thoughts on this? The provisioning looks really efficient as quoted - "A school in Colarado setup 600 PC's in one day".
  11. The .reg files below are for the registry key and value below. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System EnableFirstLogonAnimation DWORD 0 = Disable first sign-in animation 1 = Enable first sign-in animation
  12. Is anyone still using Access databases? If so what do you use it for?, just wondering if these still get used or not.
  13. They should just make 2 editions Pro and Home. Those days were so much easier. That or just produce a single edition that has everything.
  14. The place where I worked used 6320's and 30's and they were pretty decent. All were covered under extended warranties and Dell support were really quick. I always thought this advert was kind of funny: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRqAk_0JuEQ I once has an Inspiron and it was ok, just ok though. It was bulky but did what it needed.
