Hi Guys, I've setup WDS many times, this time is the first time I've ever set it up on a network with multiple VLANs and having WDS installed on it's own server, usually I've had it installed on the domain controller. I have it running, it works on multiple VLANs and I've used t to deploy multiple custom images to various Laptops and desktops. My images are x64 UEFI. I have a work bench setup solely for deploying images via WDS. So my Switch and switch port are exactly the same, there's been no network changes and i can still use WDS on other devices successfully. This one PC (Lenovo Thinkcentre Edge72) I've went through BIOS multiple times. I've disabled secure boot and changed the boot time to UEFI Only. I've checked all other settings and nothing else is relevant. I used to get something along the lines of "NBP File too large for memory" Now after fiddling I get "TFTP Error, access violation" I can't seem to get past this for this single machine. Any ideas other than grab a large hammer?

About to roll out Share Point pilot for Curriculum site collection (including all subsites with unique permissions etc) and finding it difficult or rather limited when trying to edit a web page. What I mean here is that any web page can only be edited in very basic way. Limited options only. For example I have included a long text file with headings/paragraphs I'd like to create table of contents at top of the page and links (anchors) to various paragraphs to make navigation easier. Any advice welcome - maybe I am missing some kind of editing tools or am I just expecting too much from Share Point 2016 online?

Hi guys! We are looking to upgrade our current instance of DPM to the latest version of 2016. We will also be upgrading the OS. Just wondered if anyone out there has performed this upgrade yet, how did it go, what sort of issues did you come across. More importantly we are looking at the way that the new version of DPM handles storage. From what ive read you can create volumes now. Ive found information on creating new protection groups but how does it handle the exisiting replicas on disk that are using the older file system Vicky IT Technician Hatton academies trust

Good Evening All, Yes, it's 18:31, and I am still working without a beer . Is it just me, or is there no CC4 packages for SIMS Autumn 2016? I have searched the RM website, and I can only find packages for versions, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Maybe I am being silly, and its something really basic but can someone please point me into the right direction? Thank you, James

Hi allI've built an on-prem Server 2016 RDS Farm (CB, RWeb/RDGateway and multiple RDSH Servers). This has been running over 1.5 years and everything has been fine, but recently I've been told that local client printers are not appearing for users. The settings in the RDS collection is ticked to allow Client printer redirection, along with use easy print first to get around the issue of multiple different printer drivers. To see if the problem is GPO related, I moved one of the RDSH servers into an OU and blocked inheritance (and rebooted it) to stop all GPOs applying and that made no differenceIf I log on as a domain administrator through RDWeb, I see all the local client printers appearing for the session, so it's not a driver issue and the Easy Print print driver is doing it's job.If I log in to the same RDSH server (I've got a test RDSH server in it's own collection) from the same client device via the same RDWeb browser but using a domain user account instead, no local client printers get mapped. To me this appears as a permissions thing but I can't find where this might be set.I've now built a brand new RDSH Server from scratch using my notes from the original build, so it's identical, but without any applications installed, and put it in the same OU as the others so that all GPOs are applying, and that allows client printers to map successfully for domain admins and domain users. I can't see any of the applications that are installed on the original servers as causing this issue though. All standard stuff (Office, Acrobat Reader, etc)Anyone seen anything like this before and/or can point me in the right direction for a solution? The servers are patched and the AV is Windows DefenderRegardsKen Z

I know from the title this is going to sound like a total PEBKAC question but it's got me stumped... We upgraded an environment to Server 2016 / W10 / Office 2016 from Server 2008 / W7 / Office 2007 One or two users complained of a text disappearing in their word docs (which upon inspection were 97-03 format). When they had a table (with text in each cell) and a cell in the middle of the table was split the text in the cell directecly next to it (to the right) disappeared and also the cell became unclickable see here for an example So my first thoght was let me see if I can make it do it, So I copied the doc to my laptop (also on word 2016) and opened it, and it displayed everything just fine. these laptops are all pretty fresh (built with MDT a few weeks ago) One teacher mentioned that it also displayed fine on another teachers laptop but I didnt see this happen so not the most reliable of sources. what are your recommdations with how to proceed here? Should I rebuild the laptop? (files are all redirected so it wouldnt take very long at all)

Hi there, Ive installed Office 2016 Plus onto a Windows 10 Edu machine. The issue that I'm having is that when I try to set up a email account in Outlook, I get a 'Microsoft Oulook has stopped working' message when it's looking for the email account. I've tried 32 & 64 bit Office 2016. All other programmes in Office work fine, just Outlook is having the issue. I have a laptop (what I'm using to write this post) with Win 10 Edu and Office 2016 working fine. Also, my colleague has Office 2016 on a Win 7 and he doesn't have any issues. We host our email on prem & use Exchange 2010. The machine is a HP 8300 with Window 10 Edu 64 bit, Intel i5-3470 3.2GHz, 8GB ram. If you've got any thoughts or ideas, please let me know. Cheers, RJ

Evening All, Having a few issues with DPM at the moment backing up servers. I currently have two servers that no matter what I try or do always have a inconsistent replica on their D drive. Its starting to make me go crazy as we moved from Backup Exec to this thinking it would be an upgrade and a darn lot cheaper with also getting the whole system centre suite for the same cost. Both servers are 2012 R2 except DPM server on 2016 and have the latest agent installed along with windows backup. All of the VSS Writers never error and when I run a manual backup on the server with wbadmin from command prompt it all works fine. Their coming up after a consistency check stating it has completed with an unexpected error of the following: An unexpected error occurred while the job was running. (ID 104 Details: Cannot create a file when that file already exists (0x800700B7)) I've googled and googled and fine no one with this issue nor a solution. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ashley
