Good Evening All, Yes, it's 18:31, and I am still working without a beer . Is it just me, or is there no CC4 packages for SIMS Autumn 2016? I have searched the RM website, and I can only find packages for versions, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Maybe I am being silly, and its something really basic but can someone please point me into the right direction? Thank you, James

Hi, I've just assigned an upgraded version of Flash (11) to our Software Distribution using group policy and the icon has a green arrow on it... do i leave the old package (10) on there? Or will it still upgrade / install on new machines if i remove it?

Hi All Our SLT are looking at changing the way some of our MIS systems work One of the drawbacks we have is that many apps built for schools are procedural rather than event driven apps. What I mean by that is they depend on the user doing something e.g. running a report, entering data in a marksheet, entering behaviour / achievements In an event driven application it is the event that triggers a process e.g. A detention is created for a student, we might want the creation of that detention to trigger an email to the students head of house, rather than running a report at the end of the day saying "these are the detention students". The event here would be "detention created", trigger process to generate an email. If a student is registered as attended for period 3, but they have no mark 15 minutes into period 4, we might want to generate an alert to the Attendance Officer warning them that we have potential truants, rather than the attendance officer running a report manually. The event in this case would be "time to check for truants" and the process would be alert the attendance officer (using whatever way we wanted to...report / email / txt etc) We are looking to try and find an package that supports event driven processes and schedules, particularly in the areas of behaviour and attendance. We currently uses SIMS / SISRA analytics Many thanks Phil

Hi all, We are just having our network upgraded to CC4 and everythings worked fine except I can't seem to make a package for Sims This is what i've done and found out: Old package from last year wouldn't install past the Set environment. So I have created new packages from the March Main Release: DWN1430638 but it still only installs set environment. Tried to do a winstall package of the Sims Infrastructure and that failed because theres to many bits and bobs. (borland database fonts etc) I found the repoman package share and installed them manually and that worked fine I have logged on as the local administrator and checked to see if there was any prompt but nothing. I have rebuilt the pc and assigned the package whilst logged on as the local administrator but it didn't prompt me either. The event viewer on the build pc has no errors but this does suggest that the msi/exe installer isn't starting. I have rebuilt the client again and taken away the dependencies from the infrastructure package just in case it wasn't finding the set environment and allocated them one at a time but again the infrastructure doesn't even start The management console tells me its status is: Unknown and that the pending action is: Install The Sims Infrastructure is version 4.206 This is the Infrasrtucture log: (Seems to be something to do with crystal reports) *** Installation Started 08/05/2009 15:43 *** Title: Infrastructure Setup Source: \\pcn-svr-001\RMManage\Packages\Applications\SIMS .net Infrastructure\v4.20.6.0\SIMSInfrastructureSetup.EXE | 07-28-2008 | 16:27:44 | 288897852 File Overwrite: C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\Free3of9.ttf | 06-21-2007 | 08:57:28 | | 5116 | 30c89352 File Overwrite: C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\Fre3of9x.ttf | 06-21-2007 | 08:57:36 | | 7220 | 5cbcfbab File Overwrite: C:\WINDOWS\Fonts\FREE3OF9.TXT | 06-21-2007 | 08:57:32 | | 2920 | 575fec99 Version: Following file not copied.
